Very Good Customer service, My previous company that we had was very fustrating to deal with , they would send out the wrong equipment and never keep appts.

HSR was very friendly and gracious, they had a repairman out the next day, who was very knowledgeable and friendly.

As a previous ADT employee, I decided to go with HSR s system

due to its ease of installation ( very minimal wiring ) and simple operation,

and quality of equiptment, have been very satisfied with prompt and efficent service.

My parents are vulnerable adults. Home Safety Research sold them a $4,400 home security systems (for which they paid cash) with a five year monitoring contract. They could only use part of the system as the controls were too complicated for them. In addition the contract font was so small that they could not have read the terms. After complaining to the company owner, he has agree to refund two thousand of their purchase price and allow them to terminate the monthly monitoring contract. In addition, the company has promised to consider writing contracts in a type size that can be read. As this is a negotiation in process I will update again. NOTE TO CONSUMER: Do not enter into a contract if you need a magnifying glass to read the terms.

HSR has refunded $2,000 of the equipment cost for the $4,400 system, removed the system, and has terminated the monthly contract per our negotiated agreement. I have not received confirmation that they have revised their consumer contracts so that the terms are in large enough type font that they can be read by a senior citizen. I will update further if they do this.

Home security and safety all in one. We have been with HSR for over a year and have had nothing but great customer service from them. We are senior citizens and security is so important to us. I feel so safe at night when I climb into bed knowing that the house is locked tight and secured by HSR. If anything should happen, I know we will receive a live voice over our system speaker to help us get fast and reliable assistance if necessary. Safety wise, my husband has health issues so if I have to leave him home alone for any period of time, I make sure he wears the HSR alert button around his neck so he can always get fast and reliable help in case of an emergency.

Thank heavens we have not had to deal with an emergency in our home, requiring the services of HSR. I must admit, however, I did overcook and burn something in the oven one time which set off the HSR smoke detector and hence a call from HSR. Very reliable company.

Run don't walk away from this company. My mom bought a 5 year monitoring contract from this company and paid for it in advance.

About a year into the contract she became terminally ill and had to move. She also, in this time frame, sold the house.

They refused to provide a pro-rated refund for the 4 years of monitoring she paid for but cannot/will not be using.

This kind of business practice is unethical at best. These folks preyed on a senior citizen. RUN don't walk away from this company.

Great system!. We just got this system and we love it. The sales person that came out was personable, friendly and very easy to understand. We like the system because you can have it on when you are home and away. Not only does it have burglary protection, it has medical and fire as well.

I am happy that my family will be safe!

excellent product & customer service!. My family has had a security system from Home Safety for years, and most of our extended family now has their system as well. We couldn't be happier with how the system works, very easy to use and they explain everything. Very personal customer service and they are very informative. We have tried an ADT system and it didn't compare to this at all-we feel safe and secure every time we activate the alarm, whether we're home or out of town. The voice response system is a huge comfort! This place is great and we highly recommend them!

And to the person who left the other review..maybe you should try calling them and getting the facts. They won't just send you everything for free you have to hear about their product in return. Obviously you couldn't be too concerned if you've been doing the same thing for 5 years and expecting different results.

Home Safety research. I keep receiving the card saying that I can get a free fire extinguisher, first aid kit or a emergency life light have been sending back the postage free card for 4 or 5 years have yet to receive any one of these item. Is this a BS card for senior citizens?????
