Excellent service and delicious food! Love the classy, relaxing ambiance, and of course the fillet mignon! One of the best Steak restaurants in Washington!

1 of Bellevue's BEST. Daniel's was one of the first real steaks I had a in a long time. The meat was tender, fresh, and cooked to our order correctly the 1st time.

The services from the hostess to the waiter was just wonderful! Everyone made us feel welcome from the time we arrived until we left hours later.

We really enjoyed ourselves. The atmosphere was romantic, with the dim lighting and noise level was very nice. We could hear each other talking without shouting or others conversations. No interference of other noises from waiters or kitchen. The temperature were a little cool. The view from our table was worth the trip alone!

Great Location and Views. As a Texas guy, I keep looking for the best beef in Seattle. Seattle has great restaurants and I've enjoyed most of them. This menu may need some updating, but my service was great and the views were excellent.

TAKE THE COUPON OR DON'T. Got a twenty five dollar coupon from a colleague and went into the cigar bar to have dessert. I asked if I could use the coupon in there and she said yes. I ordered a drink and dessert and after she brought the dessert she said oh you can't use that for dessert only dinner. Well the coupon doesn't say that its for dinner only. The manager came over and said you can't use that coupon in here and I said she told me I could then he said not for dessert. THE COUPON DOESN'T SAY NO DESSERT. Manager was new and rude same with the waitress. I paid my tab with cash and had to retrieve my coupon from the manager. He gave me two new ones but so what if I come in with four people and we all want dessert and wine? Really your gonna say no? Just bad, bad customer service guys, this isn't the Daniels I know and loved back in the day!

Bar is great, dinner is a pass. Summary: Go for the drinks and snacks at the bar, go somewhere else for dinner.

Daniel's used to be one of my favorite local area restaurants. If I don't have anything pre-planned, I'd be out at Daniel's whether it's with friends, colleagues or visitors. This covers both the Bellevue and Seattle locations. Unfortunately, my dining experience with them over the past 2 years have been mostly disappointing. For a restaurant that claims to define steakhouse excellence, it fall far, far short.

Don't get me wrong, they can still serve up a great steak and provide great service. However, it is the inconsistency that I find unacceptable. In the last 2 years, more often than not, our steaks were poorly cooked - charred cardboard texture in one part, very rare in another or just plain medium well all round when we (always) ask for medium rare. Service is also a hit & miss. Sometimes it's great. Many times, the hostess and/or wait staff made it seem like we were lucky to even be noticed.

This is not a single poor experience. As mentioned, it's been my experience for the past 2+ years (was really great before that) and I've not seen signs of change.

For the prices they charge and the standards they claim to set, I find Daniel's is no longer an acceptable place to bring my guests or even dine with my GF. I was told by an event manager that the group had some internal falling out a few years back and that may have contributed to some of the problems but as much as that may be difficult for them, I don't think it's fair that paying customers have to suffer from it. Places like El Gaucho (both sides of the pond) and Tosoni's (Bellevue) are in the same price levels but their service and food have been consistently excellent for me.

I go there to see Jim the "Piano Man". I went to Daniel's broiler last night to listen to some good music. I've been going there for about the last 6 years or so to see the piano guy named Jim sing and play. He always plays my favorite song (by Coldplay) as soon as he sees me walk in. I'm always amazed at the fact that he remembers my name AND remembers my song. I feel very special walking in there, but then I realize that he knows everyone's favorites! I brought some of my friends from the eastside up there last night. It was surprising to me that they didn't even know that there was an eastside piano bar. I think they will become "regulars" there now because Jim knew all of the songs they wanted to hear. Last night Jim told me that he's been playing at the Bellevue Daniel's for 20 years in October. I was shocked to see how much energy he could have after doing the same thing for 20 years. But, every time I'm up there, he seems to keep it fresh by learning a few new tunes. And the other good news is that they just started a late night happy hour in the lounge to go along with the great entertainment. I think I may be visiting even more often!

Best Nightlife in Bellevue at the Piano Bar. This place is so much fun! I was up in the piano bar last weekend and I had the best time. The piano guy played all my favorites (like "Piano Man", "Sweet Caroline", etc...) and even knew many newer songs like Coldplay, David Gray, and Matchbox. My whole group had a blast hearing all of the guest singers sit in and sing. I felt like we got to hear such a variety of singers from blues, to jazz, to pop rock. We met so many fun people up there that night while singing along to our favorites. I would highly recommend this place if you want to go out, meet new people, be entertained, and have an all around great time!
