Tips for Abercrombie & Fitch

July 30, 2008

Fashion-conscious teens scoop up everyday clothing staples for school and lounging, while bopping their heads to the pulsating music.. In Short
Abercrombie's styles for young men and women run the gamut, from preppy polo shirts and demure cable-knit sweaters to pre-destroyed denim and micro miniskirts. Soft cotton T-shirts emblazoned with clever or suggestive slogans are a staple, along with a full assortment of jeans and active wear. Fashion accessories include seasonal items like scarves and mittens, various hats and caps, bags and purses, belts, and men's and women's fragrance.

Store Managed by Only Teenagers?. All Abercrombie and Fitch stores must only employ people age 19 or younger in both management as well as on the retail floor. Besides Target stores, I don't believe I've shopped at too many other stores where the clerks spend more time flirting with one another while ringing up customer purchases. Their return policy is horrible too; and forget about asking for gift receipts...that is one big challenge for them. "Gift receipts? Hmm...nope. Sorry. Try around Christmas time. That's when we feel like spending the extra register tape to print you one." And will you ever find gift boxes there? Don't hold your breath. "You mean I just bought $300 worth of clothes and you cannot give one box to your customers?" Although the quality of their clothes is decent, you will feel like they frankly don't care if they see your face in their store again. What's on their social calendars is more important.
