great food a little overpriced. The Food was great overall especially the ribs. But somehow the bill everytime I go there ends up being a little too expensive for a fastfood style restaurant. I always end up spending $15 per person.
Excellent Barbeque; don't believe the one star reviews!. My wife and I have been enjoying this wonderful barbeque for the last two years. The succulent baby back ribs nearly melt in the mouth. The sauce is tangy and delicious. I have eaten excellent barbeque throughout the east coast. My wife is a Kansas City native having cut her teeth on Arthur Bryant's wonderful barbeque. We both feel Three Pigs has meat, sauce and baked bean sides that not only compete with the best of Kansas City, Memphis and Carolina, but exceed in both flavor and quanlity. We liked the sauce so much we bought a jar to take home and use on baked beans and to have in an emergency in case we have a craving on Sunday when Three Pigs isn't open.
Must have changed hands. Used to be OK barbecue. Now, it's oven baked pork ribs, cold corn on the cob, stale corn bread and nasty cashiers..
Must have changed hands. Been going there for years on weekends because nowhere else to go at that time in whitebread suburb.
Used to be OK barbecue. Now, it's oven-baked pork with grocery store BBQ sauce, cold corn on the cob, stale corn bread and nasty, real nasty, cashiers.
Suggest you wait until weekdays and drive about three blocks north. You will find real barbecue behind the roofing store. Honest people, smoked product and food to die for.
eat your shoe instead. I read some of the reviews and decided it was a safe bet. i Liked the intamate seating in the booths and the sports decorations on the walls. Thats where it stopped.. The pork rib dinner that I ordered came with 2 side orders. the beans were decent. could have been out of a can easily. the cupcake cornbread was the best part. The ribs came out and looked very dry. but smothered with sauce. Not cooked in but just dumped over the top. the pork was hard to chew though and really gristly and fatty.. basically it looked like boiled ribs with your choice of hot,med or mild sause. I was not impressed in the least and do not recommend eating there.
Good, basic BBQ, fast and easy. Finally got to eat here after being foiled twice on separate Sundays because we forgot that's when they're closed. The pulled pork sandwiches were great. My wife wanted more of the excellent sauce, but I thought the meat could stand on it's own - smoky, moist and tender. The cole slaw was creamy - but bland. The potato salad was tasty. We'll be back to try the ribs and other offerings.
The game is always on at this Eastside haven for quick, meaty lunches..
The Scene
Competition is the order of the day--one wall is plastered with barbecue and chili awards, and the rest are covered in sports jerseys, athlete autographs and televisions tuned to the current season's events. Order at the counter, grab a fountain drink and have a seat at a plastic booth or wood table; food arrives speedily and condiments are already on the table.
The Food
Chopped pork and chewy hot links both set high standards--meats are pleasantly smoky and textures give just the right amount of chew. Skin-on potato salad is fresh and firm; the coleslaw has plenty of crunch and coolness. Pork and beef ribs are both available, but taste similar. Seriously tender meat could use a little crispness around the edges, and fat layers aren't properly melted into the muscle; the overall affect is both tasty and confusing. Smoky beans and cornbread muffins round out the sides.
Great taste at reasonable price.
3 Pigs gets it. They know the key to good BBQ is not to slather the meat with the sauce, but to balance the 2. The sauce is great and the meat is usually quite good.
I highly recommend the pork over the other meats though.
Really pitiful attempt at BBQ!. I've had the best BBQ in the country from Memphis to North Carolina to Kansas City. This is not even close to what real BBQ should taste like. The meat was tough, not flavorful and the side items were not even edible. Add in the complete uniterested staff and a depressing atmosphere and you will leave wondering how this dump stays in business. Do yourself a favor and stay home and eat a frozen pizza!
The Best BBQ in town!. This place is the deffinetly the best in the greater seattle area. They have many different meals to choose from and it is a very family friendly place. This is the top of my list for shure. Im going there tonight!!! The sauce is fantastic and they have many different ones to choose from mild to extra spicy! Well go to three pigs!! Try the cornbread its great!!!
Good Barbecue!. Since I'm originally from Texas, I come in with pretty high standards, and 3 Pigs really holds its own. The barbecue beef sandwiches are excellent, with just the right amount of meat and (tasty) sauce and a price just modestly above fast food sandwiches. Potato salad is also excellent. I've also tried the beef ribs twice, once they were perfect, another time, a bit well done. Overall, a great casual dining experience!
