This place will make you LOVE Greek food. I spotted Orexi on the way in to our last day at Wintergrass at the Bellevue Hyatt (Spendid!...but that's another review) When the last concert was over and we had bluegrassed ourselves into a near-coma, we were hungry and I remembered that yellow/gold Greek restaurant that I had seen on the way into town. We stopped in and found the place empty of customers except for a couple guys waiting for take-out; not so unusual for a Sunday evening. We were greeted and seated by a likable wait-person and the decor (granite tabletops and interesting greek-style details) was pleasant and not at all over-done.

We started off with an appetizer of hummus and veggies and warm, fresh pita. Next came our soup; my husband had the lentil soup (the taste he let me have was excellent), and I had the Avgolemono soup, which I had been anticipating all day. Sadly, the cook had neglected to add the lemon, so what I had was a nice chicken-rice soup...a little disappointing, but our entrees arrived shortly afterward and the slice of lemon on my plate sufficed to give my soup that kick I had been hoping for.

My husband had an eggplant dish similar to lasagna - the name of which I cannot remember, but the food was indeed memorable and he said he'd be likely to order it again. I had the Lamb Souvlaki and the large chunks of lamb were done to absolute perfection, as were the slow cooked veggies and the tazikki (sp?) sauce that accompanied it. The house merlot I had complemented my meal perfectly. The servings are generously sized and I had to take home almost half of my dinner. We concluded by sharing a most wonderful baklova. I am a little sad we live 150 miles from this restaurant, but I am pretty sure we'll be back.

ok food, bad service. We had to wait 10 minutes just to get seated when there were only 3 other tables with people. They were understaffed as well, only one waitress/hostess for the whole restaurant. The waitress continually said that she would take care of us and would make up for the time we had to wait. We ordered the hummus which was $7. We could tell that it was fresh and made from scratch, but nothing impressive. It comes with one pita, but she gave us two ASSUMING that we wanted to pay an extra $1.75 for another pita. We did not ask her to bring us another pita, but she did without mentioning it. The lemon soup and souvlaki was good and so was the tzatziki sauce. I told the waitress that it was my wife's birthday, thinking they would do a little something like a dessert. She said that she was working on doing something special for her. When we were finished with our food, the waitress came by to talk about desserts. We had phyllo that was injected with some sort of lemon creme and drizzled with honey. It was good, but it was not worth the $7 that she charged us. I guess the "something special" she cooked up was the candle and singing happy birthday. I wonder how long it took her to think of that. Once we were done with our food, it took about 20 minutes just to our check. At this point, there are only 2 other tables in the restaurant. After we gave her the cards, it took another 15 minutes to get it back. The waitress didn't put everything on the bill, so it didn't add up correctly. It took her another 15 minutes to fix it. That is when she told us about the extra pita that she charged us for and didn't even tell us and the $7 dessert. Between the extra charges, 45 min. of extra wait time in a not busy restaurant, and a waitress that did not keep her promises made this an experience and restaurant to forget.

Takes too long for lunch. With one server during lunch, the waitress had a hard time keeping up with all the tables. It took us 45 minutes to get our food, and during an hour lunch, that doesn't leave much time to eat. Since I assumed our food was made fresh I was expecting an incredible meal, I wasn't impressed.

Although, I am willing to try it again for dinner sometime.

Food is pretty good, but I'm very annoyed that they wouldn't honor the Entertainment Book discount. The Entertainment Book has a discount for the Orexi Restaurant, but they won't honor it. Sort of leaves a bad taste in your mouth. Food isn't bad. Sometimes the lamb is really good, other times, it's on the grisly side.

Great service--awesome food. I was in town for a conference and stopped in because it was close by and I enjoy Greek food. The first experience was great--just had two appetizers (grape leaves & pita with feta, olives, & peppers). I know it doesn't sound like much, but the taste was wonderful...all so fresh...and the service was excellent. I struck up a conversation with another patron (local) who said she was there getting lentil soup for her daughter who was sick--it was the only thing she wanted. That in itself is a great review.

I went back the next night for the Olympus plate. All I can say is "WOW". The taste was out of this world and I savored every bite. Jackie waited on me and she was delightful! And I must admit, the lentil soup is unbelievably good. If I lived here I would be going to Orexi all the time. I even grabbed some business cards from them and handed them out to other conference attendees. Next time I am in the area I will definitely go back.

The best Casual greece cuisine. Very good service, very casual, very happy enviroment.

Food was above average and still the price is in range. If you're looking for casual dinner, good service and great food this is the place.

Editorial Review by Jena Vuylsteke. With lots of lamb, squid and beef this restaurant specializes in bringing the traditional cuisine of Greece to Bellevue.

decent greek food. pretty decent despite the reviews. we didn't think that it was overpriced but we were also using the entertainment card so we got BOGO entree. the lamb was pretty yummy but the chicken dijon was kind of bland. it just tasted like lemons to me. the baklava was decent but the phyllo dough could have been flakier. overall, not bad for a dinner out. the service was really good, we were seated promptly, our waitress brought us water and menus right away. our soup and pita came out quickly and when we were done we didn't have to wait long to get our entrees. our waitress checked back with us frequently to make sure we liked the food.
