I'm visitng from Colorado and asked the hotel staff where I could get a bite to eat. They recommended this place nearby called Gilbert's so I headed that way. Not being too adventurous about my food I ordered a simple roast beef sandwich. It was so packed with beef I could barely hold it. Being a carnivore, I really enjoyed the meat with just enough "other stuff" to help it go down. The people were friendly and I hope to get breakfast there before I leave (I hear it's great).

I have been searching for an authentic Deli like the ones in New York City for years in Seattle. Cannot believe it is in Bellevue. Gilbert's pastrami and corned beef with Russian Dressing and cole slaw is just like Broadway. Very, very good. Great feeling place too!

This is the best place for soups, sandwiches, and salads in Bellevue hands down. The owner Steve Gilbert does a great job at taking great care of his customers. I've taken a wide variety of friends and co-workers here and every single one of them has been impressed with the excellent service and great food!
