Breakfast is a big Wow! With marionberry pancakes with brandied walnuts

absolutely the best pancakes I have ever had. Try the Florentine Omelette

with Spinach, Havarti Cheese, Ripe Roma Tomatoes and succulent Mushrooms. Thick sliced egg bread French Toast is a French Toast

religious experience. . .it goes on and on with the best and most creative

breakfast menu I have ever seen. LUNCH ? ? ? . . .another WOW---blow

you away REUBEN SANDWICH, unquestionably the best French Onion

Soup this diner has ever had and I am a French Onion Soup afficiando.

Can't go wrong with the Hot Roast Beef Dips like the London Port Wine

Beef Dip. I have never had anything at Gilbert's that was not stellar.

Oh, let's not forget the Matzo Ball Soup--again perfection.

Beyond the food Gilbert's is all about ambiance with high ceilings,

ornately painted walls, Parisian style marble top bestro tables and warm

natural wood tables as well as a large selection of interesting books ranging

from art to architechture to gourmet cooking. On Saturday and Sunday

mornings--Live Jazz. Bring a book have a latte and enjoy Gilbert's.

Best kept secret! Indulge in the Eastside's most coveted place to see and be seen. This stylish, smart urban Deli establishes the Gold standard for the Reuben sandwich, the high bar for pear salads, delicious homemade soups. And, light sized bagel sandwiches. Jazz on weekends, too! Breakfast and lunches. I love it! What's not tah...

Great spot for breakfast or lunch! Try the Caribbean Seasoned Roast Beef sandwich. Loaded up with delicious roast beef on a giant bun. Jalapeno peppers and cilantro give it an extra kick of flavor. This is a big sandwich. Share it with a friend!

Best Breakfast In The East Side. Hi everyone,

Gilbert's On Main is such a wonderful Breakfast-Lunch Restaurant. I go to eat there at least once a week. The Restaurant offers a Micro Omellette with a choice of bagel for just $4.99 or a petit French toast with a scramble egg for just $3.99. Matter fact is that Their portions are big and yummy. When I go for Lunch, I always order a light bite sandwiche with Pear & cheese salad for just $8.99. In addition, they make a tasting Soups especailly French Onion or Split Pea. The Staff are very friendly and helpful. I think at Gilbert Food is made and serve with extra care and love. So, don't even hesitate to check it out and I garantee that you will not be disappointed.

Best Deli in Seattle Area. Best sandwiches I have had in Seattle area. Try the egg salad or the honey glazed turkey with cranberry or the bagel sandwiches. All so good. Soup. Yeah. Try the white bean soup---- the best. Sam adds some fun to the whole experience. Quaint spot on fashionable main street. Love it.

Great atmosphere, but even better service.... Hidden Gem of Old Bellevue! I have been going here for years and love the place. Excellent spot for breakfast with a great menu and huge variety of fresh bagels and great pancakes, but the Matzo ball soup is absolutely fantastic. Gilbert's service is great and I would reccomend this place to any body. Recently I had a grandmother that wasn't feeling well and I called up and Gilbert answered the phone but they were closed, I told him my situation and he stayed late to make sure that he was there to hand off some of his signature matzo ball soup, if that doesn't some up this kind of a place and what you can expect there then I don't know what else to say. Top-Notch and 5-stars!!

Great Food!. I love Gilbert's on Main for the food and the fact that Old Bellevue has been somewhat preserved. It's nostalgic, staff is great, the new garbanzo and curry soup is delicious! I just remembered I forgot to ask for parmessan cheese over my soup. Yes, any soup with parmessan type cheese is great! Great portions that are well thought out as far as balance meals.

I like the music there because Steve is able to give talent a chance for others to enjoy freely. I think they maybe able to play other tunes too not just jazz.

Crowded? Yes but it is a popular place! The reason its customer base are your own friends, family and neighbours!

Doing great job Steve you are also very thoughtful!!!

Great Experience. I love the food, I love the books all around, I love that when I order food, I get a real portion!

I love that when I took my son there when he was 4 and ordered apple juice for him, Gilbert himself found a little umbrella to put in the top to make it look special. I love the relaxed feel of the place. I highly recommend it!

Great Food with Great Customer Service!. This is the perfect place to go after a morning walk at the nearby park. The food portions are huge enough to share. Prices are reasonable for the area and you can easily split it with a friend. My friend and I loved the Bagel and Lox, Rueben and homemade soup. The server, Richie, that we had today was very friendly and fast. He was very kind and funny to my young child and made him laugh when he was getting cranky. We appreciated the prompt service and excellent food!
