I never ever write reviews... until now!!. When i was in college i worked at fine dining restaurants. I remember how hard it was multitasking, remembering orders , dropping hot food to tables , and getting drinks etc... I admire the staff here for their hard work. I have been in when it was super busy and i have been in when it was not "in your face busy", and i always get the same great service. Obviously I have been in several times. I always see the same servers and staff, to me that shows a lot for the establishment here . The people who worked here have been here for years. They are knowledgeable and friendly . It shows me that they enjoy their job , it shows me that they take pride in their job, and mostly it shows me they love their job. First off it's clear that the service is excellent but that's not why i decided to write this review. THE FOOD IS AMAZING!! Every time i go in i always promise myself I am going to try other dishes. I do every once in a while but I am just hooked on the chicken Shish Twook ,and I am just hooked on the shawramma's, and i just love the Farmers dish (pardon the bad spelling on the food ha-ha). The Mediterranean Kitchen has earned my respect and i will continue to go there forever with out a doubt in my mind. I have seen the staff go out of their way for myself and their guest . Now i thought in return i would "go out of my way" and write a truthful and honest review for the Mediterranean Kitchen!!
Food is good, Service is great, Wait is just too long. The food is very good and I would say quite unique. The staff is courteous for most, and the service is good. The only thing that I dont like about this place is how they handle reservations. They dont take reservations for small groups, who have to wait out in the cold in front of a hair salon. This really spoils the experience.
How could you serve it !. I've been to Mediterranean Kitchen a few times before and the food has been great. This time I went there I got there pretty late, about a half an hour before they closed. I was told to order in the next five minutes or I wouldn't be served. After 5 minutes of placing the order and after ingesting the soup, we were told there was no rice and they would use salad instead. The food they then brought out was horrible, rice is generally served to balance the sourness of the curd, garlic and onion but there was none. I am now suffering from the worst stomach ache while I write this review. I'm obviously not going back.
Worth the wait on any night!. I have tasted the food from mediterranean restaurants all around the world and nothing compares to the mouth watering flavor that this little place puts out. They better get used to seeing my face, because I will be there all the time from now on! The homemade baklava is hands down the best I have ever had. I suggest starting out with the lamb kibby appetizer, having the combination kabob for dinner, a glass of Keyfreya red wine, and ending with the baklava. This combo will definately satisfy all of your desires. Besides the food, the waiters are also the best in town taking care of you like a middle eastern Sultan! If you do not check this place out, you are definately missing out on one heck of a dining experience!
Delicious food and wonderful service!. I had dinner Friday night at the Mediterranean Kitchen and I was very impressed. I have had Medirerranean food at many restaurants but this experience was exceptional. I ordered the combo kabob and it was delicious. They put a white garlic sauce on top of the meat adding a wonderful flavor to the dish. The service was outstanding. I never had to ask for anything. My soda was refilled without me even having to ask. The meal started out with warm, fresh pita bread, wonderful lentil soup, and a garlic vinegarette. I love how they bring you starters as soon as you sit down, it is such a nice touch.
garlic delight.
I really enjoy the food here. The food is flavorful and fresh. The portions are H U G E. I always have leftovers.
The one drawback for me is they don't have a kid's menu. At a minimum I wish they offered (much) smaller portions and a corresponding price break for kids. A couple of plain dishes would be good too. I love garlic but my kid prefers pita and plain white rice.
No Authentic Lebanese Food Here.
I am not sure what people are raving about here but I am Lebanese and have just moved to Bellevue recently.
I was craving some Lebanese food and a colleague suggested Mediterranean Kitchen, the only link to Lebanese food was maybe the naming but nothing was cooked correctly or tasted any good.
The hommos was horrible, the shawarma bares no liaison to shawarma looked more like the philly cheesesteak meat and I am not sure if the owner is middle eastern or not but none of the staff could even pronounce the names of the dishes right, not sure where the cooks are from.
I don't think I will ever visit again and I certainly don't recommend it to anyone who knows what Lebanese food actually tastes like, for all others that buy hommos from QFC, enjoy!
Ma byetekal bil marra wou ghaleh 3al fadeh!
Great service and food. I truly recommend this place. For a small restaruant the waiters are friendly and willing to accomdate. The lentil soup is amazing and the sauces are marvelous (just make sure you like garlic). The shish tawook is the best.
pretentious staff and bad food. I used to come here all the time, but now it seems that things have changed around here big time! Staff is rude and food overcooked. My family was rushed out after mere 40 min., thank you but I won't be back EVER again. This place has become all about quantity but definitely not quality!
The best hummus in the city if not the whole world!. Wait till you try it! You'll be hooked! Oh, and the chicken shawarma with the out of this world garlic sauce..and the cauliflower dish...to die for!!
