Outstanding Customer Service!

by redmond101 at Citysearch

After spending about a month shopping for a road bike, I purchased from Greg's in Bellevue. I read some negative reviews online about their customer service, but I decided to give them a try anyway. I was very pleasantly surprised! These guys definitely went above and beyond my expectations for customer service. They spent tons of time with me testing different bikes and explaining things (I'm new to road bikes) - I worked with Lance, Joe, Tony, and Pat - all were very patient, knowledgeable, and helpful! Even after the purchase, these guys continue to take great care of me as a customer. I've recommended this shop to all of my friends, and will definitely be a repeat customer.

Overrated and Dishonest

by juliehi at Citysearch

I was shopping for a new mountain bike after looking at the same model at another shop. I noticed that the bike felt different. Poor shifting, harder to ride.

Because Gregg's had swapped out the original parts to cheaper junk.

I checked the manufacturer's spec and sure enough they did swap the parts. I mentioned the discrepancy to the salesperson and he had no answer. Also said the material for another bike was something it' wasn't. Don't buy there you may end up buying something you didn't bargain for.

  • Pros: Large Selection
  • Cons: Dishonest Salespeople, Swap Manufacturer Parts

NOT very helpful staff

by moboth at Citysearch

My friend and I went to Gregg's in Bellevue b/c we saw on the internet that it was voted best bike shop in the Seattle area. Well, we were certainly disappointed. When we walked into the store, no one greeted us and as we were looking at bikes no one approached us to ask if we had any questions (we're not bike experts). We finally asked one of the workers behind the register for some help but he wasn't very helpful. So, we decided to go upstairs to an additional floor to see if we would have better luck...no such luck. The same non existent sales staff. Needless to say, they missed out on the sales of 2 bikes.

  • Pros: Decent selection of bikes
  • Cons: Unhelpful staff
