Sloppy, poor quality movers, very rushed to cut their cost. Did not pack and pad my expensive furniture on a interstate move. I had Baker, Ethan Allen, and Stickey wood furntiure that was dent free before the move, but delivered the items with many big dents in the furniture. Because North Coast Moving and Storage packers and their driver " Robert " who was from Vacaville, CA packed and stacked in the Allied van too quickly and with insuffiicent moving pads, I have more than a dozen big dents and scratches on fine furniture . They disassemled many pieces of furniture and tools and delivered the items without re-assembly and try to finish the move without doing re-assembly so they can make move on to the next customer move. Not recommended, Although they try to provide low bids, they cut too many corners. I would try any other big mover name over the imbeciles at North Coast Moving & Storage.…
SHOCKING EXPERIENCE - SUING this company. Definitely one to avoid. Charged me double from that which they had estimated onsite. Then held my goods in ransom when I tried to negotiate. When items finally arrived, bulky items were missing and they told me to claim back from insurance. The general manager is rude and foul mouthed. Curring suing this company. Buyer beware.…
Wish I could give negative stars - HORRIBLE EXPERIENCE. While the local team at North Coast (Allied Van Lines, Inc.) are helpful professionals, I made the mistake of thinking I'd get great customer service for a move from Seattle to Newport Beach, CA. I have just been through one of the SINGULARLY WORST EXPERIENCES EVER because of a "Master Driver" employed by Allied to handle my shipment. I was told to expect delivery on 7/7 and took the day off work to meet the mover. I had no communication from the driver whatsoever, and contacted my Agent to check on the status. I was told the DRIVER had made an arbitrary decision NOT TO DELIVER until the last possible date on the contract, 7/11, because his daughter had a baby and he didn't want to drive. NO COMMUNICATION WITH ME. EVER. NOT ACCEPTABLE. Meanwhile, my mother was rushed to ICU on 7/6 and had a pacemaker installed. I did not fly home because I was expecting the mover on 7/7. After calling Allied Corporate Customer Service, I was given the party line "he has until 7/11 to deliver." They exist to defend the company; not to serve the client. I have a sales meeting in Dallas the entire week of 7/11 and cannot be available. The Driver has refused to answer phone calls from North Coast and from Allied Corporate. Clearly, dodging the calls because he is in the wrong. I am the client, and I've been left holding the bag because of some selfish, arrogant moron who thinks his needs trump those of the client. NO STARS. THUMBS DOWN. EPIC FAIL, ALLIED. LOSE THIS LOSER DRIVER…
Customer Service Has Returned.
We did an interstate move from WA to Southern CA and it was a full service agreement with a guaranteed “not to exceed” amount.
1. Price quote: They gave us a fair quote and we accepted it over 2 other national chains that were very high in both weight and cost. When they identified that there was a difference in the weight quoted and what was actual, they lowered the invoice.
2. Packing day: It was a very caring team that came in and did the wrapping and packing. The packers were very courteous and made sure not to disturb our baby.
3. Moving day: The movers called the day before to let us know when they would arrive. Again, they were courteous and worked hard and fast. The only mistake I saw was that they left their ramp.
4. Delivery: They requested their check before as agreed upon, and they moved all the items in. We were absolutely surprised that there was not one item broken in the move or delivery.
Again, every experience is different but from what I can see of how North Coast operates. That is probably why my company, which is one of the largest technology companies in the world, uses them. I did my research prior and signing with Allied’s North Coast, I contacted the BBB, did web research and even called my company to ask about them. This is a quality company who gives you exactly what you pay for, service.…
they will rip you off!. my final cost was more than double my estimate, they ripped me off at every step and were trying to tack on extra costs at every step (eg: charing me for a van when their truck would have fit on my street), they don't clear costs with you before performing the service (eg: showing up with a van and not a truck) so you get stuck paying or they will keep your stuff and sell it at auction. The manager was an a""! I haven't had to deal with anyone that rude in years. He is NOT good at his job and no help with any of my concerns. I researched with the tripple B, apparrently many others have had similar complaints. Don't use this company. Any other one would be better than these guys. They seem nice but they aren't honest and don't run their business with integrity. I feel sorry for anyone that has to deal with them. Moving is stressful enough but to have to deal with this level of incompetence and theivery is a real shame. They should be ashamed about the way they treat their fellow community members.…
