Accosted by the manager. I went in to have an old family photo of my great grandmother as a ballet dancer copied and enlarged. (The photo is about 100 years old). The nice man working there said he'd have to ask the manager since it's signed at the bottom. He came back and told me I had to sign a waiver saying I take copyright repsonsibilites. Right as he said this, the RUDE manager came over and told me I'd be sued for $10,000 for copyright infringement!!!! I told her it was about 100 years old, and I don't think the photographer is ever still alive. She then got in my face and told me that it is still in effect 75 years after the photographer dies!!! Then she said, no, she didn't feel "comfortable" copying my photo.

This photo is a family heirloom and I was in no way trying to make money off of it, only to enlarge it and frame it. The manager made me feel like a criminal. I think she had some personal issues and perhaps insecure and not happy with her station in life compared to mine.

In need of Preparation H. I just recently ordered an enlargement on-line. After picking it up and discovering how hazy and unclear it was, I ordered a new one from Costco, which turned out fine. Now I am not a huge fan of Costco, but they pulled through for me.

When I brought the picture back to Kits to return the poor print, the sales person (the guy with the shaved head -Coldplay wanna be) was rude and unhelpful. He said he remembered the print and didn't know what the problem was. He told me there was "nothing he could do" and that the work was "already done" then handed back the print and told me I would have to contact whoever I ordered the prints from on-line. He also told me they don't refund. I told him they were quite capable of a refund. He looked irritated and in pain the whole time, as if his hemmoroids where bothering him. I told him I ordered it from his store, so why did I have to call someone else? He shrugged and said there was nothing he could do for me. Either he was quite rude, or not even remotely intelligent. When I asked for the manager, a different sales person- a more polite one - told me to come back in two days when there was a manager available. (Yeah, that is real convenient) I did contact the the company via phone, who promised me a refund, but we shall see if they follow through. This is what happens when a store is open without a manager around.
