In Short – Red-shirted salespeople guide shoppers through the bright, well organized stores. From housewares to lawn care, Target stores are always clean and welcoming. And with clothing lines by Mossimo and Isaac Mizrahi and housewares designed by noted architect Michael Graves, it satisfies budget-conscious college students and as well as young families. –
My sons favorite store next to Game Stop
by HealthyHeather
Target gift cards are their number one birthday request and they always seem to find what they want. I supoe if a Fred Meyers or WAlmart was closer they might feel the same way about those types of stores also. Ours is friendly, definately self service though. I love going online first and deciding what I will hunt or in the store to keep on ficus and budget.
- Pros: Close
- Cons: None really
Fun to Shop
by cutebirdie
I enjoy shopping at Target; but, their stock is pathetically low on many items. One plus is, their aisles are much wider than WalMart's, which in my book, makes it a less stressful place to shop. They just need to improve customer service. I don't appreciate the banter that goes back and forth between the employees and other employees or with their friends that drop in to visit. This, of course is happening, WHILE they are ringing up customers. Excuse me but.....shouldn't they be giving their full attention to their customers just for courtesy's sake?
- Pros: Parking, Wide Aisles
- Cons: Customer Service, Professionalism

Watch Target for poor quality/cheap items.
A quick lesson in economizing: Buying something because it's cheap isn't always the way to live economically...This is what is known as: FALSE ECONOMY. You know when you buy a clothes iron MADE IN CHINA for ten bucks ...because it's on sale and it's cheap, but your neighbor buys the $75 one made in Germany from the Bon? Your iron lasts a year then breaks so you go back to Target / Wal Mart to buy ANOTHER iron for 10-20 bucks and so on...time after time. In the long run, ten years later, I've got the same Rowenta quality iron and I didn't get pulled back into Target or Wal Mart every time the cheap stuff I bought fails. Besides, when we return to replace that iron, we see other things we buy, and so that iron ends up costing us hundreds!
- Pros: Can be good for CDs, OK for named brand
- Cons: , buy better last longe
