India Gate Hotel

Nothing amazing.. The food here was okay. It was nothing spectacular, but it wasn't horrible either. However, for the prices they were charging, I was expecting more. The naan bread was pretty bland. It didn't have the unique flavor that restaurant naan bread normally has; it tasted a lot like the kind that you can just buy at a supermarket and bake in your home oven. This was a big disappointment for me, because naan bread is one dish I *always* look forward to at an Indian restaurant.

The curry dishes were okay. My friend and I each ordered a dish and they came out in two small bowls with one small bowl of rice. Needless to say, we ran out of rice. No one came by the check on us the entire time we were eating (~30 minutes?), and no one even came to refill my glass of water. The restaurant wasn't super busy either - there were only three other tables. Very poor service.…

Unbelievable dining experience!. Very good food. Great atmosphere and very clean. All the staff were very helpful and give you a range of 1-6 to determine your hot/spicy preference. My wife and I found this restaurant after an exhaustive search looking for a place to stay while visiting Seattle. Little did we know we would find a deal on a room and unblievablely good Indian food while so far from home. We live in Calgary, Alberta Canada and often visit Glory of India and would rate the food for both as very comparable. This is a good thing considering Glory of India is a very well respected restaurant where we come from. People living close to India Gate Restaurant are quite lucky as well as the meal is about $20.00 cheaper then what we pay at home for the exact same dishes with equivalent ingredients and servings.…
