Undiscovered mexican. Hidden in a small strip mall across the street from Crossroads, Casa Vallarta surprised me with authentic, affordable food and excellent service. At 6:30 on a Saturday night, it's not typical to have your party of 10 seated promptly, but we were. We had multiple people waiting on our table, our drinks arrived promptly, hot baskets of tortilla chips and spicy fresh salsa were waiting on our table, and the food came out shortly after. The waitress told us it would be NO PROBLEM to give us ALL separate checks, and it wasn't! That makes it so much easier when you go out with a large group. The high-backed booths are perfect for a quiet dinner, and there are many interesting flavors of margaritas to choose from. I recommend the blackberry.

Typical chain Mexican food. We went to dinner here because we had an Entertainment coupon. The food was exactly as we expected -- typical chain Mexican food that we could get at Las Margaritas or any other chain Mexican restaurant. I ordered a chicken taco salad, which was as expected, and my husband ordered a combo meal with an enchilada and burrito. The chips were fresh and hot, and the salsa was fine. Nothing great here, nothing to write home about, but not bad either.

Friendly Mexican Joint. Really friendly service, solid if unspectacular food. The salsa though, IS spectacular.

Surprisingly good for the Northwest. We moved to Washington from New Mexico two years ago, and until today we hadn't found any decent Mexican food. Casa Vallarta has traditional Mexican fare, made well and flavored nicely. There are a few vegetarian offerings -- the spinach tamale was nice, with a light tamale and tasty green sauce. My husband enjoyed the combo dish he got. The food is served piping hot (don't burn your tongue!), but the spice quotient is definitely mild. We asked the waiter for some hotter salsa, and he brought some out after "checking in the kitchen." It was well worth it to ask.

Casa Vall-yumma!!. CitySearch led me to Casa Vallarta on my recent trip to the Bellevue area, and what a treat! Casa Vallarta is a great low key place, with a friendly feeling from the staff and local patrons. Tasty margaritas and food, and pico de gallo to kill for!

Mucho Good!. I eat here for lunch at least once a week with my coworkers. It's ALWAYS great food, great price and run by a family. Very friendly and great service!
