Bellevue >Maple Leaf Chinese Restaurant
Great food!. Maple Leaf has the best chinese food around! Also great service! Really this food is great you have to try it! I have not found any bad hours to go. I usually get take out now to have every night!
RODENTS. As my family and I were sitting and eating dinner, what did my brother spot out of his eye? Yes, a RODENT. A big fat RODENT came running down the center isle way headed straight toward our table. The RODENT went under the table and my entire family of six sprung up and stood on their chairs. Meanwhile, one waitress spotted a RODENT and spoke in Chinese to our waitress. Our waitress in return told us to come with her to sit at another table! I told her we lost our appetite and my family left. The waitress did not apologize for the RODENT or sympathize with us for wanting to leave. My family and I were absolutely shocked not only for seeing the RODENT but also shocked about how the restaurant took care of the situation. They did not tell anyone else in the restaurant and acted like it was no big deal. I PLEAD WITH YOU, DO NOT EAT AT THIS RESTAURANT!!!
Editorial Review. Local favorite Chinese restaurant on the Eastside serves Mandarin and Szechwan cuisine.
Taiwanese style cooking with some great dishes.
The owner is from Taiwan and is reflected in the type of style of cooking. This place is one of the better Chinese restaruants other than Yeh's Wok. Try some of the chef's choice Taiwanese style food. If you are from Taiwan like me, you will know what I am talking about.
For those don't know what is the difference between Chinese and Taiwanese style of Chinese cooking, just ask the lady owner there. She will guide you.
My favorite.. Moved to WA in 1997. Tried dosens of Chinese restaurants in Greater Seattle for a year and couldn't find anything better than this one. Decor might need to be updated a little, but food, service and value is THE BEST. Go the at least once or twice a month, so do the math for 6 years. Would I go there so many times if it wasn't that good?
Good, cheap, fast.. A great bet for lunch. It seems like it's always practically deserted, though. The food is great, and the lunch specials are a steal. Service is almost obsessive, and when the waitstaff deliver your chopsticks, they fold them up into a little chopstick rest for you. Constant refills on whatever you're drinking. The food definitely isn't authentic, but if you're look for cheap, good eats and you've got a hankering for Chinese food, check this place out. They have a karaoke bar, which has also been deserted every time we've been - maybe they do some major business on the weekends and that's why they can afford to have an empty dining room most evenings? Whatever it is, the food is good. Try the hot and sour soup, and some crab rangoon. Typical Chinese fast food dishes are served elegantly - General Tso's or sweet and sour chicken are staples.
