Best Chinese restaurant on the Eastside!. Not only is this intimate Chinese cuisine exceptionally known on the Eastside for its talented culinary skills and delicacy, this is an extremely affordable, family-oriented restaurant. It's the kind of restaurant you can bring your kids to on a Friday night, as well as a restaurant that can serve as dining for two in an intimate seat by the fireplace, serenaded by the live piano. A great place to take your date! This restaurant accomodates to both the family-oriented and intimate-date setting. After eating a meal at Shilin, you leave only craving for more of this gourmet, Chinese restaurant. I recommend the General Tsao. It's DELICIOUS! The service is significantly better than other Chinese restaurants around the Eastside area. There was hardly any wait time to be seated promptly. Shilin is by far, my favorite restaurant on the Eastside. Try it out!

They have KARAOKE too!. Karaoke in the lounge every Wednesday thru Saturday from 9pm to close. Jessica spins the 70's/80's on Thursday and Friday nights. Triple J spins the classic R&B tunes on Wednesday and Saturday nights. Great retro Karaoke bar. People sing everything from Frank Sinatra to Madonna! Check it out!

Shilin great food and Karaoke too!. Probably one of the best places for Chinese cuisine on the eastside. Adequate spacing for Large Groups and a fun place to do Karaoke.

They have Karaoke on Wednesdays to Saturdays from 9:30 pm-1:30 am which is a plus.

One of the very Best Chinese Restaurants. This is one of the very best in the Seattle area. Their banquet food is innovative, well-prepared, & both traditional & modern, with great use of local ingredients. Example: shrimp/fish paste stuffed with Scallops, on a shiitake mushroom, topped with salmon roe on a bed of sweet pea vines! That's innovative, amazing and uses the best ingredients! Their standard menu is fine, with the Beef Noodle Soup rising to the finest I've ever had (depending on who cooks & what days). Chef Liau is excellent and captures the essence of Taiwan & Fujian cusine (and those area's interpretation of northern & interior cooking). There are a lot of standard Chinese restaurant standbys that they do competently, but special orders is where the creativity and excellence show through.
