El Puerto
Great Food, Great Service.
When I had an office in downtown Edmonds, I ate at El Puerto nearly every day. The food was delicious, the service was friendly, and the owners, Ramon and his wife, made me feel part of the family. I tried most everything on the menu, and loved it all, but tended to focus on tostadas with rancho beans. I've never found a better tostada. I wish they had a branch here in Sapporo, Japan, where I have lived since April. Going without Mexican food is a great sacrifice!
Buen ano nuevo, guys! Enjoy some great food at el Puerto, and tell them Jorge Tostada says "Hi"!
Jorge ("Toasty") Tostada
Bland food and inconsistent service. I do not reccomend this restaurant to people looking to eat high-quality Mexican food. The food is very bland and has made me sick on two occasions. My order has also been incorrect and I have been given the wrong type of meat on more than one occasion. I love Mexican food and work very close to this restaurant but usually walk 1/2 a mile down the street to a different Mexican restaurant near the waterfront.
The Best. I have been going to El Puerto for 13 years, I have traveled to Mexico 5 or 6 times and El Puerto is the best Mexican Food I have ever tasted. The service is quick and friendly and the portions are ample. It is my favorite restaurant and I highly recommend that you go there right now!
Best Mexican in WA. I'm a big fan of real Mexican food for a long time, but in WA, there really isn't a lot of good places unless you travel to Yakima. Well, I have found what I can say is very very good mexican food at El Puerto. The night that I was there, the owner seated us, which is unheard of in the food business. So that was very nice to see. But the best part was the food. it was so good I think I licked my plate clean.
Always Excellent. I have been going to El Puerto in Edmonds for many years, and I have never been disappointed. The staff is always friendly and courteous, the food comes out quickly, and it is the least greasy mexican food I have ever had. I highly recommend taking the time to drive to Edmonds!
Not Going Back. I too had a horrible dining experience at El Puerto. I love Mexican food (Mama's Mexican Kitchen is a favorite) and this place is close to where I live. I ordered a shredded beef burrito and for the first time I literally could not eat a Mexican meal. It was revolting. My husband said his fajitas were edible but he would not eat there again. The service was very hurried and the waiter did not bother to find out why I had barely touched my meal and did not want a doggie bag.
