Bartenders can kick you out for disliking their friends.. I was enjoying getting to know Rory's, but since I'm having difficulty with a bartender at Scotts Bar and Grill who appears to have a problem with me and is now working to get his friends to drive me from other bars he wants to go to in Edmonds, I was told by the bartender at Rory's (who is friends with this bartender) that I am not welcome at Rory's anymore because I make people "uncomfortable." Let's see...I've had no more than one drink the 8-10 times I've been there, I've had their food (meh), have been pleasantly talking to bar staff and customers. And I'm 86ed tonight because I'm having a problem with some bartender from some other bar???? Huh. So I guess you can't go to Rory's if you're on the outs with anyone who is popular and friends with any of the staff at Rory's. Nice. And no I would not recommend Rory's to anyone.

Best "Cheers" bar. When I sat down I was served fast and everyone was friendly. I love the atmosphere at this place and the food was amazingly good as well. I will be returning with out a doubt. I would highly suggest the ribs or the prawn cocktail to anyone who eats here and be sure to check out the different beers!

Bad service. When my friends and I arrived we sat for quite some time before the server came over to us. We ordered our drinks and she walked away while my friend was mid-question. She came back with our drinks and set them down on the edge of the table and walked away without giving the drinks to the people who ordered them - we had to guess. I had to chase her down to ask for a menu. I again had to chase her down to ask her for some water. When we were done eating she came back to us with our checks before we asked for them, and yes, we did want to order another drink b*tch. She's been like that the last 3 times I've been there and I don't know why I go back. Whatever, it's coming outta her tip.

good place to get a drink. Been living in Edmonds as long as anyone. The service at Rory's isn't great but better than these other reviews say. The food however is not nearly as good as the new place next door. Johnny's might need help in the service department but the food wont dissappoint. I had a mushroom burger medium rare. It was cooked perfectly. Needless to say, I might stop by Rory's for a drink now and again but I'll be eating at Johnny's.

Rory's ain't that bad..... If you think Rory's is bad, check out the new place across the street, "Johnny's sports bar & grill". I went there hoping for the great food and great service that they advertise and was sorely dissapointed. Upon entering the establishment, I noticed several people congregated around the pool table wearing t-shirts identifying them as "staff", however, none of them acknowledged me. After seating myself at a dirty table, I was greeted by a very friendly, but obviously overwhelmed server, who apologized for the lack of attention. Despite her best efforts, I waited over 20 minutes for my salad, and had no silverware when it was served. Not a big deal if they were really busy, but there were only a few other tables. After asking for a manager, I was directed to the owner (still at the pool table) who disregarded me in the first place. Rory's rocks!

customer service....none. On a nice beautiful evening my boyfriend & I sat on the deck and waited 45 mins. for a burger and the service SUCKED!! The gal never paid attention to our needs of a drink much less bothered to have condiments on the table for our dinner use. I simply acknowledge the fact that I wasn't going to accept BAD SERVICE nor was I going to eat COLD FRIES with SOGGY BURGER so I refuse to stay and eat. Earlier I was sitting at the bar waiting on my boyfriend while I watched the young gal drop food from plates she was taking from the kitchen window to tables outside. I should have known then, this was not a place to eat.....

Crass, Sleazy. Why is it that Rory's hires such sleazy, lumberjack, uncultured, crass, waiters and waitresses. Hmmmmmmm.......... must be because the owners are also that way!!!

Sad but true. Their food rated 1-10 would be a 3. They are over priced and don't be surprised if they are out of 3 or more things on the menu. They have very little local beer, and the waitress that helped me didn't know the difference between a stout and a Porter. I had to wait 1 hour for my food, and 15 minutes for my beer. Not a place to go if you are wanting to get smashed or get a quick feed and a beer. Fairly packed, a lot of smokers hang out there. That combined with a fairly low ceiling, you get the feeling that you are hanging out in a smokey cave. On the good side of things, it is a very popular hang out for the 30 somethings.
