Go to Downtown Honda of Seattle instead. They're honest
by Hoobajoob at Citysearch
I brought my car to get the timing belt changed, for a 90,000 mile checkup, and to find why I was getting 2 error codes. I told them the error codes I was getting and asked them to diagnose it. I changed my mind about the timing belt when they told me it would be $800. They diagnosed the issue for $99 and told me they were receiving the same 2 error codes I told them I was receiving and that they would have to replace the EGR and ATTS modules totaling $1500. I was already upset because they did no more diagnosing than I did. I found online that all I had to do was clean the EGR ports, which cost me about $20 in supplies and 30 minutes of time. It fixed the engine codes. When I went to Downtown Honda, who had the EGR port plugs in stock, they told me my timing belt had already been replaced by the previous owner 10,000 miles before, information Lynnwood Honda was well aware of, but chose to keep from telling me. They also told me that many Preludes have the same error codes, and cleaning the EGR ports would fix my issue. They told me that without the $99 "diagnostic" fee. If you're looking for an honest Honda dealer/repair, opt for Downtown Seattle, over Lynnwood.
Watch out for this salesperson

To be a salesperson at this nice of a dealership, he should not belong there. He was a decent salesperson but for some reason when we started to look at the #'s as far the price and trade he really gave me low offer on my nice accord it did have about 150k miles but still in good running condition. He told me he would give $1000 which KBB said 2500. But rather than recieving a better offer from the dealer he said thats all I can give but my son is looikng for a car and can give you $1300 cash. I decidied to not trade it in nor do business there as I felt that not only was I gvien enough for my trade but this short and very stocky filipino salesperson was trying to persuade me to sell my trade to him(he asked me about 4-5times) and I kept telling him no! To anyone going there with your trade be weary of this salesperson as I have heard from other bloggers that he has actually bought trades from customers to meet at another location...Please be careful if you walkinto this store and he happens to greet you!

They totally ignored me

I arrived at Lynnwood Honda and for 19 minutes not one of the salespeople walked up to greet me, ask me what my needs are, nothing. Like I was totally invisible. I was taking information down about which car to buy, and still, after walking back to the front of the dealership, not one acknowledgement, not one hello. Sure I could have gone inside. But, after five minutes it became a test of the dealership. FAIL. Unbelievable, people.
The customer MUST be greeted within sixty seconds, by anyone, busy or not. Just an acknowledgment is all.
- Pros: Good selection
- Cons: Nobody greets you promptly
Thank you Mike & Cale

After being treated horribly by other dealers because of bad credit, I was treated very respectful. My truck caught on fire and I needed a truck to stay in business. The whole dealership helped me by finding what I needed and for a great price! Thanks Cale and Mike, you gave me a change to get back work. I will refer many to you. You are tops to us, thank you so so much for giving me back my business!
- Pros: Respectful
