Good food and great service

by Kathy Sayles at Citysearch

Our family goes to Cucina! Cucina! in Issaquah at least once month. The food is always very good and the staff very friendly and welcoming. They rememmber us and they go out of their way to make us feel welcome. The service is always right on our schedule. If we're in a hurry, the food is there quickly. If we're having a relaxing evening, we never feel rushed. Our monthly visits will continue! Thanks Sherman and Michelle for consistenly offering outstanding service!

Extremely Disappointed

by jsc45 at Citysearch

Unfortunately this will be my last visit to Cucina Cucina in Issaquah. We used to love dining here but if tonight is any indication of how things are on any given night then I will be surprised if it remains open for much longer. The hostesses at the front looked like they were trying out to be hookers--totally inappropriate clothing for a family oriented restaurant. We were told we would have a 25 min. wait but it wasn't for lack of tables; the kitchen was woefully understaffed. When we were seated after a 10 min. wait we were surprised at how few people were dining. Few diners but lots of employees standing around with not much to do. It took awhile for our orders to arrive, but I have had to wait longer so wasn't too concerned, but the waitress with the most annoying voice and condescending attitude in the world thought she needed to make excuses for our food not being served. She mentioned the lack of staff in the kitchen and told us that some people had even had the nerve to walk out earlier. The coup de grace was the chef yelling at wait personnel standing too close to the kitchen area and blamed them for his messing up an order because there were so many standing around that he heard someone say marinara sauce so that was what he put on the pasta.

I would actually give them a minus number of stars it that were possible. Food is still good, though.

Really Fun and Friendly Food is Yummy

by Rachelia at Citysearch

I went to the movies and after was a little hungry. Cucina Cucina seemed like it was very fun and had a really nice atmosphere, you can sit outide which was very nice. Loved the music and the food! We had the lobster ravioli which was so creamy and delicious. There is also a bar which was a plus; this restaurant is one of my favorites. Great service and very friendly.

We will miss the Cucina Cucina Italian Cafe

by theframeguy at Citysearch

After years of excellent food and service from Cucina Cucina, it looks as if my wife and I and had our last $75 dinner there. Based on the food and service we have been experiencing the last few visits, I predict the restaurants will be shutting down soon. Lets take last night's experience at 6:15 at the Issaquah Cucina Cucina Italian Cafe, ooops I mean the Issaquah Cucina Cucina Cafe. Arrive at 6:15 and have to wait until 6:45 to be seated only to find when getting inside the restaurant that it is half empty! Then, the appetizer and drinks arrive fairly fast but that seems to be a way to pacify the long wait for the entrees. The new owners of this restaurant chain have destroyed a good thing. Thanks for the good times, we always had enjoyed the food, good service and the Italian talking in the bathrooms.
