Although I did manage to find something I was specifically looking for in a store, there's really nothing of interest to me left in Gilman Village. All but 1 of my favorite stores is gone. The economy has really taken a toll on this Issaquah treasure. It's a shame.

The old-timer looking for Gilman Village of another era didn't see all the new shops and great dining experiences the place now offers. Creighton Edwards has one of the most charming design and specialty food shops in the region. There isn't a better fine restaurant in Issaquah than Iris Grill (and a wonderful happy hour). I love Daisy for womens' fashions. And I can't resist Spoiled by Nana for childrens' clothing and gifts. Oh, and the exotic tea shop. Every long-loved establishment changes over time. I think the Village is as beautiful as ever and the new shops are giving it a new appeal.
