Awesome place. Honestly one of the best Happy Hours around. They practically have it all discounted during these hours...beer,wine,well drinks, apps and pizzas. Favorite place in issaquah.
What a disappointment!. The hostess had her mouth full of baklava and smelled like strong cigarettes. For dinner, we ordered two steaks (New York & Baseball Cut Sirloin), which came out charred, which simply overwhelmed the taste of the meat. We weren't expecting steaks like Jak's grill, but at least expected something better than my 8 year old niece could cook & flavor. Service was terribly slow and the waiter seemed to always disappear. (Smoke break, etc...)
A rarity on the eastisde. This is as close to a neighborhood restaurant as the eastside gets. Not a chain, but a locally owned eatery. The Dobar Chicken is to die for, and there's nothing like it anywhere else. Salmon is always wild and fresh. The pogachas are a great snack. This is a nice restaurant for special occasions or for a casual evening. The staff is friendly and welcoming, the service is prompt, and it's also a great place to watch a game or catch some live music in the bar. We love it and dine here regularly.
Delicious Authentico! in Issaquah. Not sure what this person was complaining about, I went to Pogacha and had an amazing dining experience. The food is to die for, the ambiance is mellow and great, and the service was impeccable - potentially the best Italian cafe on the Eastside!
Bad, Bad, Bad Experience. We've been twice in Pogacha, the first time the food was OK, nothing special, the second time we went with our parents, they ask for Lamb Shanks, when the food arrive, my mom just took the first bite and did not want to finish the meal: "It tasted like carton, this is terrible, I never ever in my life had such of horrible meal " I ask the server to take the dish way, we left hungry and we paid like $120 for 4 people, I am still very impressed when I see there parking lot full. What for the people are still going to this place, Horrible service, Horrible food. They should be closed!
So Rude! again. We went to Pogacha again and no surpise we got another grumpy waitress. What do they say to their staff to make them look and act like they are in a terrible mood? They seemed annoyed that we had the nerve to ask for drinks. It is such a lovely place and would be perfect if the staff were not so awful. I've never been to a place with such consistent bad service before. Come on, please listen to the public and do somthing about the really bad servers. We always had to wait an extremely long time to get to order drinks then even longer to get them to the table. We were all afraid to ask the server because she looked like she just didnt want to be there at all. Noone there was happy about the attitude. Ridiculous behaviour.
Awful Experience. Awful Experience. Last weekend was the final straw. I will never go back. Yes, typically the little doggy biscuits served before the meal are stale, and the quality of the entrées is somewhat inconsistent, but sometimes it’s good. All right, so my girlfriend and I have been going to Pogacha for more than 2-years now and for the last year or so it seems like the staff members are going out of their way to harass us. Let me first say, there are several good waitresses at Pogacha, however, last weekend, one bad waitress in the bar stopped serving us drinks after having only two each. Why? I wish I knew. We were just quietly having a good time, sitting by ourselves listening to the music and holding hands. When In asked the waitress, her only excuse was that she thought she saw me stumble on the way to the restroom”. What a crock of $#! +, and a lame excuse!!! Sorry. It must be a personal thing with that waitress because the same thing has happened to us before. In fact, one time a few months ago she refused to serve my girlfriend. “I thought I saw her stumble” she said. Really, we had just walked in, sat down and hadn’t even had a drink. Anyway, back to last weekend, after paying the bill with zero tip (which I never do), and writing "You $uck" on the customer comment card (which I seldom do), one of the other bad staff members came up to me (I think she may have been the bartender) with a real bad attitude and told us to get out and that she was calling the cops. I asked “why would you call the cops on us”, and she only repeated, "get out!" Hmmm… I was a bit miffed. I asked again but got nowhere with her so we decided to leave this lousy place. Okay Pogacha…I thought this was a free country and ok, so “You $uck” may have been an immature thing for me to write but come on!!! Calling the cops and kicking us out because why (waitress) is a bit ridiculous. Aren’t we supposed to write our comments on the card, good or bad? So readers, before going out looking for a quiet, romantic and relaxing place to sit and have a cocktail and listen to music, take this experience into consideration. I’m sure we are not the only ones who have been treated so disrespectfully at Pogacha.
Great menu, very good food. We have gone here many times and get consistently good food and service. Entrees are not cheap but portion size more than makes up for it. Diverse menu makes it great to go with kids or larger groups.
Terrible and Tasteless. I made reservations for myself and two friends on a Saturday night. We chose Pogacha because we didnt want to go into the city and it seemed to have a menu that would appease three people with different tastes. I had a dish the menu touted as a guest favorite, my lamb shank was large and clumsily presented and needed salt. (which seemed to be at all the other tables with the glasses of crayons) My two friends ordered chicken dishes and their chicken tasted like it was rubber and previously frozen. When the waiter collected our plates and asked my friend how her entree was, he did not seem surprised she didnt like it. He offered to remove it from the check and when he came back he mentioned that he also hated the dish she ordered (which made me wonder why he didn't steer us to another selection). I wish I had saved my friend some money, and stayed home and cooked our dinner.
Delicious Food. I recently dined here for the first time with two other people. My dish, Sherry Basil Chicken, was very delicious and expertly presented. My friend's dish that had prawns and pasta together was not so good. The flavors had not married and it basically tasted bland. My other friend's dish was very delicious, but the portion was so small. Overall, I thought the service was great. The hostess was unfriendly, but perhaps she was having a bad hair day....who knows. Our waitress was very accommodating and friendly. Surprisingly, she told me the menu was Croatian foods. Hmmm....lots of Italian style dishes (and tasted Italian), Phad Thai (!)...isn't that Thai?, etc. I was confused, but the waitress told us it was Croatian....oh well.
