Best Home Style Mexican. Juan and his staff make the best home style Mexican food this side of the Rio Grande. His food is really more Northern Mexican style rather than Acapulco style, although he has added some nice Southern Mexican touches to some of his dishes. The red enchilada plate is excellent and it's generally a daily special. The pork tacos are scrumptious. Actually the pork on anything will set your mouth to watering. Service, quality seems to be declining. Have been here a number of times and used to rave about it. But have seen a bunch of order screw ups lately and it hasn't seemed to bother some of the staff that much. Food is still good, but it's not at the top of our list. Who wants to put in a take-out order and then have to drive back when it gets screwed up? (Or feel the need to check it all of the time, which I guess is the way to go now).
