Best Home Style Mexican
by Ouijian at Citysearch
Juan and his staff make the best home style Mexican food this side of the Rio Grande. His food is really more Northern Mexican style rather than Acapulco style, although he has added some nice Southern Mexican touches to some of his dishes. The red enchilada plate is excellent and it's generally a daily special. The pork tacos are scrumptious. Actually the pork on anything will set your mouth to watering. I've taken my New Mexico and West Texas friends there and they all agree that it's like a taste of home. Also, the prices are excellent for what you get, despite the smaller portion sizes.
I love this place

Every summer i become addicted to this delicious food. If you have never been here before, go big and order the grande verde with steak, it is a personal favorite of mine. The steak is so fresh and fantastic.
Service, quality seems to be declining

Have been here a number of times and used to rave about it. But have seen a bunch of order screw ups lately and it hasn't seemed to bother some of the staff that much. Food is still good, but it's not at the top of our list. Who wants to put in a take-out order and then have to drive back when it gets screwed up? (Or feel the need to check it all of the time, which I guess is the way to go now). Had some issues and didn't get a good response, even we I asked to speak with the owner.

The food tasted real good but the size of portions was too small. It was fresh.
- Pros: good parking, fresh ingredients
- Cons: expensive, not enough in serving
Only the Best Here.

I would have to say that out of all the places that I eat this is one of the best for the Money. However I have not been in lately. So this is from the about 50 times I have been there. Seeing I used to work at the BlockBuster there next to Acapulco Fresh. The Best.
- Pros: Small, Fast Service, Personal
- Cons: Menu Small, Not much Seating, FAST (PRO)
