Kidd Valley was once just a humble burger shack in the U-Village neighborhood catering to college kids and 1950s nostalgia-seekers. Now it's a full-blown local chain with 10 locations and a list of fans that's as big as the phone book. For many, burgers act as merely an excuse to order the sweet french-fried onions, the fried mushrooms and the creamy fruit shakes.
