Chan's is higher priced than many other less fancy Chinese restaurants. Many items are quite edible while others seem mass produced. It doesn't seem to be very service oriented.

lousy service lousy food nice decor. If the spent as much on the food as they did the decor they might have better food. I would not even call this Chinese food. If you live in Klahanie go down the hill to the Mandarin Garden. It is not as good as Yeas Wok in Newcastle, my vote for the best in Seattle, but it is pretty close. Huge menu, low prices, lots of food on the plate. All fresh ingredients.

I don't know about "real" Chinese food (I know some real Chinese), but I do know that Chan's has great food, good ambiance, and they are really nice. My family has eaten there a couple of times now and it has always been excellent. I recommend the walnut prawns and the chow fun.
