Not worth the price

I've hit a few BBQ joints on the Eastside and Sherm's does not make the top half of my list. The service was slow even though the place was nearly empty and had three employees. I have to say though, the employees seemed like friendly, down-to-earth people. The sauce was a bit too harsh for my tastes. The sides were not bad, but you could have played hardball with the tiny cup of cornbread they give you. Nice people, but food could be better.
- Pros: Friendly, Decent menu
- Cons: Slow, Mediocre flavor

Awesome! I've found the pot o' gold at the end of the BBQ rainbow. It is a BBQ joint that focuses on the BBQ and not a bunch of frilly extras, so no ambience here. The meat is seasoned just right that you don't even need sauce...but if you choose, the sauce is so flavorful. And I appreciate the kind people behind the counter!
- Pros: Friendly people, Excellent food, Generous portions
- Cons: A little pricey
3 days in a row

The food was so awesome, I almost felt ashamed for going 3 days in a row. Especially after ordering enough on the third day, to cover for the following (4) day (1 lb of babybacks for the fridge). I am serious the food was great, and the people were very nice and friendly. I have to drive another way ome, to keep myself from stopping there!
Not worth the trip to the Plataeu

I had to try this place after hearing all the great reviews about it. I was quite disappointed. The service was slow, but it was friendly, I'll have to give Kudo's about that. The sauce had too much bite for my taste, it wasn't very smooth. The cornbread was also hard and crumbly. Probably won't make the trip back.
- Pros: Cook was friendly
- Cons: Service was slow
