horrible staff. i have been a member of the kent location for a year now and my big problem is with the staff. I was walking by the front desk and heard the asian lady (either works front desk or sales) cussing out a storm! I was very offended even though it wasn't directed at me. The front desk girls have said hi to me maybe once! Equipment is ok but very crowded.

Bally Kent,WA.. I was a member for many years. I watched as the place fell apart while my dues remained the same. The area outside grew in crime. I had my truck window smashed out in the early afternoon! I asked for help from the manager but got nothing. They didnt even have one lousy camera! Then are lockers were cleaned out while we worked out! I am happy to have this outfit behind me!

Losing it. Bally's is in a decline. Classes are decreasing, employees in general are very uninterested and the equipment is not up to date. The biggest complaint that I have is that the change rooms are very dirty--especially the shower area. I won't begin to describe what I have seen. I'm guessing that they only clean once at the end of the day. Shower water is not hot. Ugh!

Recently there are a lot of patrons walking through pool area in street shoes (and some in jeans???) to get to the sauna and steam room.

The bright spot: Carol's Zumba class is awesome and I'm very sorry to leave it behind.

This budget gym trims the fat off its patrons at streamlined facilities.. The Scene
Most Ballys stick to the basics for their design. Televisions broadcast silently above multiple rows of cardio machines; mirrored walls act as the primary decorative components. But thanks to high-energy television ads and low-impact membership premiums, this national fitness chain has steadily attracted a clientele bent on saving money while losing weight or gaining muscle.

The Workout
Using fairly standard strength-training equipment and/or racks well-stocked with free weights, the best of the trainers here, who are classified at four different levels, can be as skillful as those found at costlier gyms. For group classes, signature exercise options include Spinning and Powerflex, as well as a number of patented routines inspired by Tae Kwon Do.

Mediocre Gym - not sure how it compares to rest in the area. There's ample parking....I want to say more about this place, spending $60 for two people a month is less than you'd pay for an hour massage so I can't really complain. The downside is I came here from the Bellevue Bally's that had steam rooms in each great spacious locker room and was a pretty nice gym. In the month I have been going here I haven't loved it - the cardio machines are old and don't have fans on them (treadmills anyway) - there is one noisy fan over the whole treadmill area that only hits 1 1/2 of the treadmills. One or the 9 or 10 treadmill has been broken for over a week so far, and overall the cardio equipment is a bit outdated. The racquetball area is below the treadmills which results in a lot of noise and the occasional stray ball bouncing outside the racquetball area.

Although I have always found an open treadmill or elliptical, it is still pretty crowded. The women's locker room seems to perhaps be in the middle of being renovated, but it is cramped and not a fun place to be in. The weight area has older machines and they are not organized in a particularly sensible way. They have multiple machines for the same purpose, but not an even muscle distribution throughout the gym. Looking for machines for certain muscles I really need to build up (I'm a health professional too) that I had no problem finding in Bellevue, could only find machines that worked them as a secondary muscle group which was really disappointing.

The gym gets crowded evenings and after school when it;s filled up with high school sports team members getting extra fit, they sometimes seem to dump their bags in front of machines that they aren't using so nobody uses them because they look occupied. Also got to overhear some jocks talk about women as "thoroughbreds" which made me less interested in going there solo.

Not the worst place, and certainly not the best - I am looking for another gym to see if I can find something newer/less expensive. in the area.
