Editorial Review for Cave Man Kitchens – by Citysearch Editors
In Short
Abandon hope, all vegetarians who enter here. Besides the scrumptious coleslaw, there's scarcely a speck of green around--except for the scraggly lawn outside, where there are picnic tables and a view of Mount Rainier across a busy highway. Load up on juicy cubes of beef or pork, plus pork ribs, Polish sausage and chicken, all alder-smoked. Dinners come with baked beans, plus potato salad or coleslaw.

I have never been to Caveman Kitchens - too far away, but my son has, occasionally, brought some baked beans home to me. I have been halfway around the world and have never tasted better baked beans. Large chunks of bacon and the sauce is great. I just wish there was one of those restaurants here in Tacoma.
Pros: Great Beans
Cons: N\A

My family has brought their fresh caught salmon to Caveman since the 70s! You can't beat Caveman's smoking... YUM. It's been many years since I've personally been there, but for anyone who has grown up in Western Washington and has many many generations of family in Western Washington we know this is truely a local staple. (All of you 21st century transplants not from Western Washington, go back home for your BBQ fixins, this place is for smokin'!)
Pros: Custom Smoking
Cons: hard to find
