Your average COMMUNITY CENTER.
Previous poster intended to review Kent Station, the local "third place"/strip mall.
Kent Commons is the community center in Kent. They offer fitness programs, art classes, little day hikes, etc, for a decent price...but you get what you pay for. They certainly aren't bad, although their parking lot is a pain to navigate. Good place to take youraspiring four year old ballarina until she decides that she actually wants to be a gymnast. ;)
You'll never find a Borders or a Barnes and Noble here.
I wandered around the Kent Commons looking for a bookstore, and finally I stumbled upon a map of the place. Imagine my surprise when I looked and looked for a place that sells books and didn't find it. So, my expeddition to the Kent Commons ended with disappointment, as there was no evidence of any place that had books. At least the Federal Way Commons has a Borders in it.
The only thing good about the place was all the available food and the movie theater, if you're looking for anything else, I don't recommend it. I suppose there are also a few clothing stores too, but they are mostly specialty shops.
