Sun + Kirkland waterfront + The Slip = Perfection. There's not much in the way of hip decor at Kirkland institution The Slip. IIn fact, you should know that most tables and chairs are actually of the plastic variety. But walk outside onto the water-facing deck and you'll see why this popular spot is packed on sunny weekend days.

I would go with burgers over anything else on the not-so-fussy menu. There are plenty of ways to make your plain burger a bit more exciting (think grilled red onions, Colack cheese, guac...) If you're looking for something a bit more original, try the Kirkland Shrimp Burger. And the kids' menus is fantastic.

Excellent Hamburgers in the heart of Kirkland. First of all, I need to state that I am sorry for those people who have had a bad experience at the Slip. Stay home and cook yourself so you have good experiences and we have less wait for a nice juicy hamburger.

I moved her 6 years ago and from the first time to the last time that I ate at the Slip, it has been excellent!!! :) Great service, friendly waiters/waitress, excellent beer and drinks and the most tasty burgers in the state of Washington. I have to say that I fell in love with this place from my first experience. The spinach dip as an appitzer is amazing! Then move on to one of their tasty burgers and enjoy the beautiful views of Lake Washington. Nothing beats the slip!! You never know tell you try it yourself!!! Life takes paitence and those who are will enjoy this place. Check it out for yourself!

Raw chicken. The two times I've eaten there my chicken sandwich was raw in the middle. Get me once, shame on you, get me twice, shame on me. I'll never eat there again.

Good burgers and beer; perfect for the casual diner.. So I read all the reviews from other folks, and felt compelled to counteract some of the negative posts. While the service isn't great, and if you're older than say 35 you might feel a little ancient (as I did), the food was frickin' awesome. I'd been told that the hamburgers were the best in Seattle and though I've only been here a year I'd say it's the best I've had. I had TheSpecial, which was darn tasty. I was diggin' the Hale's beer selection too; good IPA's and Pale Ales. The young thing managing the seating was very friendly to us, put us on the list for outdoor seating and called our cell phone when a table became available, no problem. I think if you come in with a bad attitude you're going to get it right back at you. I and my party of 2 others had a great experience, and I'll definitely be back.

A bare-bones burger joint with a breezy, beach club attitude wedged into Kirkland's waterfront.. In Short
Diners squeeze into tiny tables and servers hustle wicker baskets of food through the small maze of tables. Inside, a full bar and five wooden tables are packed into an area smaller than many restaurant lobbies; outside, everyone crams around the coveted, plastic tables with a partial view of the water. Burgers made with a quarter pound of chuck and served on soft, grilled kaiser rolls are the primary draw.
