Champagne leaves a bad taste...

Is their taste too expensive to give good service? My fiance and I were casually walking around town after luch when I ran into Champagne Taste and wow did they leave a bad taste in my mouth. I was looking for a bridal outfit, a 1950's throwback, or something along those lines for an up coming photo shoot. I found a few things that were a bit pricey, but worth trying on. However, with nobody in the store other than myself, my fiance and the lady at front, it could not have been made more clear are presence was not welcome. I'm talking Pretty Woman here. I have never been made so uncomfortable as a potential customer. I thought this was a consignment shop in Kirkland, Wa...not Rodeo Drive. I would reccommend taking your time and money somewhere else, they obviously don't want it and most certainly don't deserve it.

So-so.

I made a trip out here to search for a wedding dress - I'd heard good things about their selection and prices. They did have a decent selection of dresses for a consignment shop, but all the sizes were mixed together across the entire store. 18's in with the 2's, the 6's and 8's hanging with the 12's, all wedged so tightly together you had to haul the entire dress out just to see the size.. Many of the dresses seemed out of style, and several more were in poor condition. (But were still priced pretty high!) There were also some great dresses.

The woman working was nice - but she was the only one working. The phone rang off the hook constantly, there was a steady stream of customers both buying and dropping off items for consignment, and she seemed pretty frazzled. Shame on whoever arranges staffing!

I think if you lived nearby and had the patience to return many times and sift through the dresses, you'd find something eventually. However, I live kind of far away, and the general chaos that reigned turned me off. I won't be back.
