Tips for Cafe Veloce

Molto benne. Went for dinner on a Saturday night, quite the popular place. They are decorated with a myriad of Italian motorist memorabilia. I had the Criola, a cajun chicken & sausage pasta with a marinara - it was excellent (ample portion, lots of meat, and just the right level of spicy). The service was busy, but quick and very friendly.

Great food. One of my favorite places to dine. My favorite dish is the crab fettichini alfredo pasta.

Delicious Italian in Kirkland. Cafe Veloce isn't in the easiest to find location (in the Totem Lake area of Kirkland near Evergreen Hospital), but it's certainly worth pulling on the MapQuest directions to find it.

Veloce offers traditional Italian favorites, some with a twist. Try their take on bruschetta that includes green olives and red pepper flakes for an added kick. Our favorite entree is the Chicken Scampi (aka "The Sleeping Pill" because it's so yummy that you want to cozy up and take a nap). It's so delicious that you'll want to mop up the sauce just to make sure you get the last drop. Another delicious option is the Dungeoness Scallopini.

And you can wash it all back with a pretty impressive wine selection. What's not to like!?! Portions are generous, so you might consider sharing plates.

Added bonus: the restaurant's size and layout make it a perfect spot for date night or familes with kids. Couples can enjoy a cozy spot by the fireplace while parents may chose to sit with their children in the back area.

Not a 5 star restaurant!. My husband and I decided to try Cafe Veloce because of the high praise it got here. We went on a Saturday night and it was so crowded and noisy, I couldn't wait for the meal to be over. They have as many tables as they can fit in the space. The food wasn't anything special: really bland and uninteresting. I would not go back. Maybe this is a good restaurant compared to others in the suburbs, but I'm sorry, I have higher standards.

Love the Food!!!. I love their pastas! My favorites are the Clams Giulio, Chicken Scampi, Caesar Salad, and Tiramisu! This is more of a casual place with an unexpected motorcycle theme. Guess the owners really love motorcycles. Different but the food is Great! The wait staff is very friendly and do a great job.

Great selection on their menu. I have ordered pizza, pasta, and sandwiches from this restaurant and they have all been very delicious.

This place is the BOMB. My husband and I use to come on dates here before we were married. The first time we went, I had the chicken scampi and in the 9 years we have been dining at Cafe Veloce, I have only tried one other thing. (which was also excellent)! We have brought so many friends to try it and they are all addicted now too! The staff is so kind and even the owners sons who are little skater boys treat everyone wonderfully!

We always start to look for a new Italian restaurant...but always end up right back at Cafe Veloce! Try it...absolutely wonderful!

Great food. I went many many years ago for the first time with friends and ordered the Pasta Formaggio and have been hooked since. Someday I suppose I should order something new. I have always ordered the same thing everytime I've been there. Cool atmosphere, great food, good service.

Delicious food. This is the first restaurant my husband and I have visited in our new neighborhood, and it made for a great welcome. The food is wonderful (kind of Italian with Greek influences), the atmosphere is laid back, and the prices are completely in line with the offerings. We will definitely be returning.

(BTW, we went with my extended family, including two small children, and everyone enjoyed their food. The children's pizzas are huge though: they could easily have shared one.)
