Poor quality food - so so service. Having read an ad in the local coupon clipper and having lived in the area for over 5 years, we thought we would give this restaurant a try...

Bad idea:

At lunch time there was only one server attending to all the customers ( at that time over 20)

So it took a while to place the order but the food arrived quickly and tasted OK and looked good.

The disappointment set in when we got home and both my wife and I had stomach issues and need to visit the restroom at least a couple of times...

I would not recommend this place and we are definitely not going there again.

Chan's Place for Chinese is a much better place in Kirkland and it is actually closer to me albeit a little more expensive but at least the food does not make you ill !

Good Chinese, Fair price. I enjoy the Chinese food at Hunan Wok. I think they provide a good value. The service is fast and the staff is pleasant enough. I don't need someone kissing my rear when I eat lunch. Go check it out.

Bad service, awful food.... After driving through this place for a couple of years, I decided to try out it out. It was by far the worst service I have experienced. We get there and the hostess/server rudly points at a table and throws the menus, she then came back to get our drinks, I asked for a coke, and she brings a can; which at the time I thought was fine for the price we were paying (plates ranging $7-$11). Then she brought our plates, I had the Kung pao chicken (might be mispelled) and it was horrible, I was not even sure I was eating chicken at all. I told the server I didn't quite like my plate, and that she could take it away that I would just wait for the rest to be done; she immediatly went off and yelled "But you are paying for it!!!!!", "you are the one that asked for it"; then she was rude to the rest as well, we asked to speak to a manager and she said she was the one in charge. So I just let it go, I really was not expecting anything free or another plate at all, her reaction was downright rude and with no justification at all!

Better than average food + Good Prices = Good Value. I have lived in the area for four years and I have been here more than a few times. The food here is good. Better than average for most chinese food on the west coast in general. General Tso's Chicken was good and not too sweet. Sweet and Sour Chicken was golden brown and not over cooked. Rice is excellent. I also had the spring rolls which wer top notch. I generally get the food to go however the atmosphere inside seems nice. It is clean and well kept. The staff is friendly and professional. I am not a food critic but I cook and have been paid to cook and the food here is good and the price is reasonable.

I give them 4 stars and I reccomend them.

Only place in the area.... ...and I wouldn't go back. The food was below average and overpriced. The General Tso's Chicken was gummy and the quality of the chicken was pretty low. The shrimp in the shrimp fried rice was slimy. Even though there are very few Chinese restaurants in the area of Kirkland, I wouldnt go back
