The Scene
On weekends, large crowds congregate in the cafe's parking lot, with customers waiting as long as an hour to gorge themselves on omelets, hashbrowns and cinnamon roll French toast. The cafe, located in a renovated house, takes its cue from another time--shelves holding old-fashioned knick-knacks, coffee tins and kitchen utensils line the walls, waitresses run between tables, filling cups of coffee and balancing plates filled with bacon and eggs.
The Food
Gut-busting breakfasts are definitely the big draw. Most meals are served with mounds of crispy fried potatoes and a toast stack that's at least 6 inches high. The buttery, cholesterol-clogging meals won't help waistlines but they'll definitely indulge taste buds. Try the shrimp omelet, with heaps of cold-water bay shrimp, mushrooms and cream cheese. Don't let the size of the plate be intimidating; just reheat it later for a light dinner.

I have been here a handful of times for breakfast. Everything I have had has been good, but the oatmeal is delicious! Now, everytime I go I order the Oatmeal. It also comes with two peices of fresh homemade bread that is fantastic.

Came in on a Sunday afternoon and from the start the customer service was TERRIBLE. We sat down within 10 minutes which was good however our waiter provided terrible service. He took our order, no greeting whatsoever. We waited over an hour before our food came out and in the meantime those seated after us, had been served and left before our food even came out. Our waiter not once checked on us to see how everything was or if we needed anything. When we asked why our order was taking so long his response was a sarcastic "I'm sorry". Wouldn't recommend the place to anyone.

My family and I went there for a late Sunday morning breakfast. We walked in and were standing there for at least five minutes without even a hello from any employees, even though the hostess stared at me at least three times. I was giving them the benefit of the doubt even though there was no one waiting. But then to my complete disbelief a couple walked in and the hostess said "Table For Two?" I got up to give her a piece of my mind but was stopped by my finance asking for the manager. Then the cashier said " Would you like to be put on the waiting list?" Then the "Manager" just stood there and stared at us like we were stupid as we explained the situation. She then did nothing. No offers for a discount or a free meal or even an apology. A horrible experience!
