In Short – Homesick for your mother's Italian cooking? Grab your appetite and head to this restaurant, where the friendly wait staff will serve up portions of Colosseum-esque proportions, like spaghetti and meatballs loaded with savory tomato sauce and lots of pungent garlic. Dishes center on Southern Italian immigrant fare, and are meant to be shared family-style with a large goblet of wine-to enhance the taste, of course. The ornate décor with walls covered in vintage photos evokes a warm homey feel that welcomes customers to dine among the other families and loyal customers. Buon…

- Where To Sit:
- If you have a large party, reserve the circular "Pope's Table." Special occasion? Request the kitchen table, where diner's can watch all the behind-the-scenes restaurant action.
Fun night out for good italian

This is a great place to dine with a large group as you can get some delicious italian food served up family style, but beware if everyone yells out something they want it adds up super fast, but there are always left overs. Food is flavorful and the decorations are great. Reservations are usually needed especially if its a large party. If you plan far enough in advance you can sit in the kitchen which can be quite entertaining as you get to say hello to everyone on their way to be seated. I love the salad, and green beans. Desserts are huge. They did get rid of my favorite dish though, but I hear that the chicken dishes are quite good as well. Kid friendly. Portions and prices are more reasonable for lunch, but if you dont mind taking some food home and spending a little money its a good dinner choice too.
- Pros: good food, fun decor, good for groups, kid friendly
- Cons: family style
Worst service I've ever recieved

I went with a couple friends. The waitress was obviously more interested in helping the big party across the room from us. She would leave our table while we were in the middle of asking her questions, just so she could tend to their needs. She gave us an incorrect description of a meal that we ordered it to share. We received the food and told her that it was not what she said it was. She looked at it and says "Yeah, that doesn't look right" and walked off. It took a long time to get any drink refills. Just overall bad service and the food wasn't anything to call home about.
- Pros: Seated promptly
- Cons: Bad customer service
Decent food, poor service...not recommended for small parties
by hrpiscesray at Citysearch
We tried to make a reservation and were hung up on after being told there was no wait. We arrived and were told it would be 10 minutes...that turned into 25 minutes of waiting in a riduculously over-crowded lobby. After being by-passed for other larger parties that arrived after us (without a reservation), we were packed into a small room.
The staff began to add more tables to this already crowded room and the wait staff was forgetful and made us feel rushed. The caesar salad was bitter and the fettucine was over-sauced. We do not recommend going if you are expecting a relaxing atmosphere and being treated with respect for your patronage.
- Pros: large portions for the price
- Cons: ambience and service
Italian Food?

My first experience with this chain was in Arizona earlier this year. The food was delicious, the waitress was more than qualified (we left her a 25% tip), and the whole crowd in the place was happy and lively. My 2nd experience with this chain was at the end of July this year in Lynnwood. Not bad--average tasting food--could improve their enthusiasm a bit. Their chop salad was pretty tasty though, but a bit drenched with the dressing by an overzealous cook. We ordered a large portion of the salad, and then 4 other dishes in the small serving size. All of it fed 4 of us and then we ordered 1 dessert. The bill came to $99. One would think that's a great price, but the food overall was average to below average. Their gnocchi dish was disappointing--but what can one expect for preprocessed tasting food.
- Pros: Parking
- Cons: Atmosphere, Food
