Best hairdresser!. I just want to share that I took my 17 year old daughter to Julie and she loved her new hairstyle for Senior pictures. Julie is an artist and can make men an women look great! She is up on all the current styles and she has great ideas on which cut would look good for my hair type and features. I wouldn't trust anyone else with my hair.

Great Salon, Great Stylist. I first heard about Salon En Vogue through my sister, who found it through Citysearch. It is an adorable salon that has a homey feeling to it. I have had three haircuts there starting from November of last year. Each time I have seen Julie, she is great!

My biggest fear about seeing a new hair stylist is that they won't know how to deal with my hair correctly. I am middle eastern and have very long, thick, curly hair. I like to keep it long and was always afraid that if the stylist cut my hair wet then it would end up a lot shorter than I wanted. No fear here! Julie is very experienced and gave me an amazing hair cut.

Each time she has cut my hair it gets better and better. Especially this last time, which was last month. I really wanted a different style for my hair other than the long layers in the front and in the back of my hair. I just leave it to Julie and she gave a great cut, I now have shorter layers in the front as well as some side bangs. It looks really good, curly OR straight!

I appreciate that Julie really listened to what I wanted, specifically leaving my hair long. She is very talented and obviously knows how to handle different hair types. I will definitely continue to come to this salon and see Julie in the future!

Julie is GREAT. I have been going to Salon En Vogue for alomost 1 year now (I first went in November of last year (2009)) because of all of the great reviews I read about the salon online.

The first time I called to make an appointment I wasn't specific on who I wanted as a stylist since all of the reviews I read complimented all of the stylists in the salon. I ended up making an appointment with Julie; prior to making my appointment, however, I asked Julie a lot of questions since it was a new salon I was trying and she was very polite and helpful with answering everything I was asking about.

I originally chose to try Salon En Vogue specifically for a color. I had been going to Gene Juarez at the Alderwood mall for awhile and was seeing a certain stylist on a regular basis for cuts, but when I wanted a color their cheapest prices were too much for my budget, which is why I chose to go to another salon for my color. However, since I needed a hair cut at the time I was getting my color I just decided to have both the cut and color with Julie.

She was extremely helpful when I was deciding on what to do for my color and which method to use for my color as well (she suggested I do the cap vs. the foil because she could get the same affect for what I wanted for my hair and it would save me money - she could have let me choose to do foils as I was originally thinking to do, but she was nice enough to consider my budget and not just how much she was going to make). She also suggested that we can do the cap the first time (which is what I ended up doing) and if I choose to do foils in the future I can always do that as well if it ended up being my preference for touch ups.

Not only did I love the color, but I also really loved my cut! She really listened to what I wanted; and since the price of the hair cut is the same as Gene Juarez and I actually felt she did a better job specifically on my bangs than my Gene Juarez stylist, I have decided to stick with her ever since!

Now that I have discovered such a great, regular stylist I have brought my sister and cousins to her as well. Julie is a great, experienced stylist whom I plan to continue seeing into the long-term future!

Holly is the BEST!. I have been a client of Holly's for around 15 years. She is super friendly and accompodating and really wants me to feel good about my hair. She has gone out of her way to find solutions for my thinning hair issues, and I look 10 years younger because of her. People constantly ask me where I get my hair done. She does have a busy schedule, so plan ahead. If you can't get in right away, don't go elsewhere or get scissor happy yourself. I promise she is worth the wait!

This place is not worth your time or money. Well, what can I say about this place... Salon en Vogue is by far the worst salon I've even gone to. I even think Supercuts is better than this place.

First: The reason why I decided to go to this salon was because of all of the reviews I read. This place sounded so wonderful and perfect. I also really liked the location because it was so close to me.

Second: I originally tried to make my appointment with Holly but soon found out that it was hard to get an appointment with her busy schedule. Instead I made an appointment with Julie. They are both Co-owners of the salon.

Third: When I got to the salon it was totally empty except for Julie(stylist) and a customer. I walked through the front door and to the salon counter. I was not greeted or told to wait while Julie was talking with the client in the salon. Instead, Julie just looked at me and did not say a word. I stood there for a couple of minutes and was finally told by Julie that she would be right with me. I waited some more and was taken to the stylists chair. I was there to get a haircut and a color but changed my mind last minute and decided to just get a cut. Julie took me to the Hair washing sink and started to lather my hair and then yuck... she took her extremely long nails and was working them through my scalp. The nastiest experience! I don't want anyone's horrifyingly long nail scratching my scalp. Next, she took me back to the chair and started cutting my hair. She didn't tell me to move my head to one side and then the other. Instead, she decided to constantly poke my head in the direction she wanted it moved to. Talk about rude! What's even worse is that when she was blow drying my hair she asked me to dip my head down. She did this so that she could blow dry the back of my head. Can you say lazy stylist???

Final: My hair cut sucked, the customer service was nonexistent, blow dry was horrible, and the price was even worse. There is absolutely nothing good about this place. For $49 a hair cut I would rather donate it to Supercuts!

Worth the Wait. I called to see if one of the stylists would be able to squeeze me in as a walk-in. The woman who answered the phone explained that no one was available except the stylist that was on-call for Mondays. I asked her to call and see if it was possible to have her come in to cut my hair. I left my name and number with her. Waited several hours to hear from them but did not receive a call back. Finally I called back, and she apologized for not getting back to me right away. Fortunately, she had a cancellation and was able to get me an appointment with Julie later in the day.

*****************

I have been going to Julie since then. She does a great job with my hair, and always makes sure I'm satisfied with my cut before I go.

not pleased. I came to Salon en Vogue after reading all the great reviews here. Holly answered the phone when I called and was really friendly, which was great. I brought in a picture of what I wanted my hair to look like, and Julie was my stylist. Julie did not really listen to anything I said, and was much more interested in asking me personal questions about my life. This is probably the most annoying thing about hair stylists. I understand making small talk and conversation to keep clients comfortable and make them feel welcome, but when all you do is ask one intensely personal question after another, it feels a lot more like an interview by Oprah than a haircut. When I expressed to her that I was not happy with the way it looked she told me to come back tomorrow if I felt the same way. Therefore, what they say about "not leaving unless you love it" is not accurate whatsoever. Also, when I called the next day Julie said she has other things to do so she will deal with it tomorrow. Wow, thanks for making me feel so important Salon En Vogue! I will certainly not be returning here.

Five Stars!. I had my hair cut by Julie, who has 20 plus years of experience in styling hair. She helped me cut and style my stubborn hair just the way I wanted it and was also super friendly! She also educated me of hair and hair products that can benefit my hair. This place rocks.
