47.847485 -122.302898Lynnwood's VERY BEST Chinese Food!. I have been eating at Brother's Chinese restaurant since I moved here in 2004. The food is AWESOME! I have never had a bad meal, not ever. It always comes out of the kitchen fresh and piping hot! The service is always fine, and I have come to know the waitresses. I walk in the door and am greeted with a smile. I am a regular customer, and I have nice conversations with the waitresses. I have brought friends and family here to dine, and they love it too. My absolute favorite is their home-made hot and sour soup...soooo delicious! and their orange chicken (made with white meat) is better than anyone else's I have ever had. The fried rice is moist and fluffy and yummy every time. The moo shu pork (is that how you spell it?) is delish, as well as their veggie dishes with shrimp. No matter what I have ordered in the last 7 years, I have been pleased with my meal, and I keep going back...and I keep on referring people, who tell me that they love the food too. It's not an upscale restaurant. It's located in a tiny, old strip mall which has very little ambiance. Go for the food, not the decor. 5-star food!!!!! My favorite restaurant!
horrible service. my husband two went to their restaurant and sat down, the table was not set up for customers, no salt, pepper, soy sauce, sugar.we had to go to other tables to get it ourselves the table was very sticky. the back tables were piled with magazines and the other tables had there accounting paper work on them. we were not offered beverages, they would not substute egg flour soup with won ton soup, the soup's broth tasted like water, we had to add some soy sauce to give it flavor. we had to ask for menus and then ask for someone to take our order. some of the food was okay. we had to ask for more tea, never where we asked how anything was, a large table of people came in and they got eveyones attention. will never go back.
Not priced according to menu, etc,etc etc.... We just ordered our food from this restaurant again..the last time, the prices did not match the ones on the menu. They do not offer FREE delivery, as advertised...and when the lady on the phone gave me the total...it was 12 dollars above what the menu said! When we ordered from them once before, and the woman's explanation was that it was outdated!! Well...fix it! Lesson learned...no more business from this family...
OMG.... I AM WARNING YOU!. OK, FOR ONE THEY LIE ABOUT THE PRICES, ALWAY MORE WHEN YOU ORDER, AND DONT LET THEM TELL YOU IT'S FREE DELIVERY THATS A LIE TOO. AND IF YOUR ORDERING A FAMILY MEAL THEY LIE WHEN THEY SAY IT FEEDS 2, ITS THE SAME AMOUNT OF FOOD AS THE SINGLE MEAL. BUT OF COURSE CHARGE MORE. THEY ARE QUICK FOR A REASON. THE FOOD SITS FOR HOURS BEFORE YOU ORDER. SO WHEN YOU ORDER IT'S READY TO GO. IT TASTES LIKE THEY REHEATED IT FROM LEFT OVERS OFF A CUSTOMERS PLATE. PEOPLE LEAVE LEFTOVERS FOR A REASON. IT'S NASTY FOOD. THEY SPEAK FINE ENGLISH WHEN YOU ORDER BUT WANT TO PLAY LIKE THEY DON'T UNDERSTAND WHEN YOU HAVE A COMPLAINT. I AM SOOOO TEMPTED TO CALL JESSE FROM KING 5 NEWS TO INVESTIGATE. I CAN NOT BELIEVE THESE PEOPLE ARE STILL IN BUSINESS. IF THERE IS A GOOD REVIEW ON HERE I AM POSITIVE ITS FROM THEM. I THINK THEY CREATE IT SO MAKE THEM LOOK GOOD. BUT TRUST ME IT'S NOT GOOD!
Fantastic!! chinese.
We have ordered from this restaurant for 8 years straight. It is the best Chinese in Lynnwood by far.
Some of our favorites:
Szechuan Shrimp - oh my these sweet spicy yummys
Fried Rice - kids LOVE it, lots of stuff fried in it like peas and bbq pork bits
Shrimp Chow Mein - I love this as a midnite snack later with the sweet/sour sauce
Moo Shu Pork - delish
As I said, I have had this 1-2 times a month for 8 years, and I am phoning in my order right now!
Extremely "Not Good".
We got a flyer for Brother's a few days back. Noting that they delivered, we decided to give them a try last night.
The good: They delivered the food within 20 minutes of us phoning in our order.
The bad: Where do I start? How about with the appetizer? The barbecue pork appetizer was cold, desert-dry, and didn't taste very good. Even after reheating with a little liquid to try to make it better, it still took a lot of hot mustard to be able to choke down the few pieces I could eat before throwing it in the trash in disgust.
The "beef chow mein" was edible. I'll give them that. But I know the difference between a chow mein noodle and a ramen noodle, and this "chow mein" was made with ramen noodles. And while it was edible, it was merely passable. There was nothing really good about it, just nothing bad enough to make me toss it in the trash.
The shrimp fried rice was similarly edible/passable. I wasn't going to scrape it off my plate back into the packaging, but I wasn't having seconds.
Last, my wife had the almond fried chicken. Similar to my experience with the chow mein, she found it edible, but couldn't say anything good about it and left plenty on her plate.
Normally we'll refrigerate what little leftovers remain when we have Chinese food, but everything from Brother's was either so blah or so bad that there were LOTS of leftovers and they all went in the trash.
I strongly recommend you avoid this place.
