Fun-loving and welcoming. I recently moved from Seattle to Mercer Island. I needed to find a new hair salon. Au Courant was recommended by a friend. When I arrived I was welcomed by a very friendly staff. The atmosphere was warm and festive. Best of all, the whole staff seemed to have a fun-loving relationship with one another.

Best Customer Service. I have gone to the salon twice and have enjoyed by experiences thoroughly! Boy, do they know how to treat a customer right! Upon entering the store, it looks a little outdated and quirky, but don't be put off by the decor because these people really know what they are doing! As a new customer you are greeted with a welcome pack (a sample of their own shampoo) and a $5 gift certificate to use at your next appointment. In addition, they follow-up with a thank you note in the mail! I have never been to a salon with such stellar customer service. In fact, I used to pay $90 for a haircut at Gene Juarez in Bellevue for some years and the customer service there doesn't even come close to matching the service at Au Courant. Plus, I have received more compliments on my hair cut from Anne at Au Courant than I did while going to Gene Juarez. You should definitely give these guys a try! And if you're not extremely satisfied, you're only out $40+/-.

Great First Visit. I had my first visit with Au Courant today and my stylist was Jamie. I loved her, and I love my haircut! I will for sure be back!

Fantastic Salon. Cheryl was great when I went to see her for the first time. She cut my hair, recommended great products, and I am going back for highlights! Thanks to Emily for the reminder call, she is very very nice!

Confident Stylist. Douglas is very confident and knowledgable about all hair types. My hair is curly, fine, coarse and ever so straight in some places. I left with a totally new and managable head of hair!

Best Hair Salon in Town!. IF you want a salon that's cute and cozy and great customer service..... you must check out Au courant! Annie did a wonderful job on my hair.....my cut is so cute!

Fabulous Staff and Great Haircut!. I came in today for my first hair service with Annie.... and I will difinately be back! Great location, just around the corner from where I work and live. Convenient hours...... with options available 7 days a week! Fabulous and friendly staff!

Extraordinary Salon on Mercer Island. I have used this salon since my wedding day! I had my hair done for my Wedding along with all my brides maids! Au Courant made my day even more special.

Years later, as I turn old and gray, I have re-discovered that this is a great place for regular precision hair color, expert massage, fancy nails, etc. The service is exceptional and the entire staff create a sophisticated yet welcoming atmosphere.
