Ordered me the wrong size dress.
They are helpful when you're buying, but worthless when you have a problem with your gown. Amanda's ordered me the wrong size dress. When I went in to try it on, Amanda said "Well you're going to lose weight, right?" I said "I guess I'm going to have to; it doesn' fit." My fiance was furious and told me that I was not going to try to lose weight to squeeze into the dress. When I called the shop, I was told that Amanda was on vacation and would call me back. She never did. An awful woman who works for her told me that they didn't feel the dress was too small. And she actually said, "YOU ordered a size 6." I didn't order anything. Amanda measured me and ordered the size, based on a size chart. And meanwhile, I was wearing all the same clothes, so I didn't put on weight.
Amanda's refused to refund me for the dress. I was out the $1100 for the dress, the $200 for the matching veil, the $400 for matching jewelry, and $100 on the underskirt - $1800 total. I went to to La Belle Elaine's in Fisher Plaza, where I was treated awesome and found a beautiful Badgley Mischka ballgown at a sample sale. La Belle Elaine's is a much nicer, more classy store - by far. Shame on Amanda's for not working with me to get a properly fitting dress or refunding any portion of it. I felt like since they had my money, they did not care about what happened to me.
