Great Costumes, Amazing Customer Service.
There's a unique store in old downtown Redmond. Wow, what a wonderful costume shop filled with a great selection of costumes and accessories for sale and for rent. Kids sizes and Adult sizes. I was thrilled with their customer service, a skill I thought was lost until entering their doors. It was refreshing to find someone to help us with knowledge of history, and what she didn't know, she had books to refer to! I was stuck trying to outfit my son for a biography report and they basically made the entire experience painless.
If you need a costume, prop, wig, makeup,or help with creating it, here's where to go. Great Find, Great Prices, Great Customer Service!
Costumes lovingly made by hand and friendly, personalized service explain this Eastside shop's reputation for masquerade excellence.. The Scene In 1981, Sherrill Mendoza began designing costumes in a little house; three years later, she was running a full-fledged business. But one thing that's never changed is her commitment to service with a personal touch: Tucked away at the back of the store are hundreds of costumes available for rent--from angels to Zorro--all handmade by Mendoza. Packaged costumes are also available for purchase, along with a vast selection of accessories--hats, wigs, magic tricks and an impressive array of theatrical makeup.
The Goods One-day rentals run from $5 to $55, which includes costume cleaning. A $20-$40 deposit (depending on the costume) is taken upon reservation and forfeited if you cancel. However, if you decide you'd rather be Elvis than an Egyptian, Mendoza will exchange your costume at no charge.
