Support Fraudulent Thai Ginger?.
I try to support businesses with similar ethics as mine.
After having read this article and many others about Thai Ginger's owner having committed immigration fraud--paying people to marry her relatives so they could stay in the U.S., I can no longer support such a business. Even if they do cook good food (sometimes), this restaurant is terribly managed and owned. And her employees show the lack of management in their atrocious customer service. Not a place to go.
Citysearch isn't letting me post the article so you'll have to look it up using the key words "Thai Ginger fraud" and I read most of the articles but mainly the KOMONews one.…
Redmonds Thai Food.
Ate at Thai Ginger Redmond on Saturday night after viewing the Expendables. Food was much better than the movie! Had Asparagus prawns – were tasty and good. I like things spicy and they delivered
– asked for 4 star and it was good. My friend had Chicken wrap; I had to steal a test taste. It was good. Meat was hot and juicy, wrap was cold and crispy.
We were the last people in but the servers were pleasant and friendly. Served us well, made sure the waters were refilled, etc. I noticed they did have other duties to do as it was 930 PM and they were prepping to close. Right amount of attention was paid – we don’t like having someone hovering all the time.
Thanks for a good meal and great evening Thai Ginger Redmond. Keep it up!…
BOMB RESTAURANT. I don't know whats up with this idiot below me giving this awesome restaurant one star over and over again, but they clearly need to lighten up and find something else to spend their time on. This restaurant is amazing, the staff is friendly and it is my favorite place for thai food. The phad thai here is my favorite food anywhere. It makes me a sad panda to see this restaurant with such a low rating because of this one over zealous patron creating multiple accounts just to bring the rating down. I LOVE THAI GINGER, I WILL NOW PROCEED TO CREATE MULTIPLE ACCOUNTS TO BRING IT UP TO THE GOOD STANDINGS IT DESERVES. YAY!…
Used to be so-so, Has gone DOWNHILL. I have eaten at this restaurant for many years. The service was pretty fast, but not that friendly. The food was good, but not that cheap for Thai food. The last time I ate there was HORRIBLE!!! I don't know if they changed cooks or their recipes or what. The curry we ordered was waaaay tooooo sweet and the sweet basil with tofu vegetable dish we ordered was a salt lick. Not only was their food bad, they changed how they made their thai iced coffee (which used to be a favorite of mine). They added waaaay toooo much sugar in the coffee. It was so disgusting. I took one sip and had to send it back. At first, I thought they put too much cream in it, but they said it wasn't the cream. They add the sugar in the big batch of coffee. Whatever the case, the food was terrible and the drink was terrible. On top of that, 2 waitresses (the ugly one with big cheekbones and the one with the outdated bob haircut) stood across the restaurant, pointed in our direction and was talking about us...almost in disgust because we complained about the drink. Can you imagine if we'd complained about the food? Definitely do not recommend this place, not unless you have no tastebuds.…
Cheated on Bill. We were in a party of 5. We ordered several entrees and a few starters and no alcohol. The food was average and the service was wanting. We ask for the bill and find a total - no details. The total was at least double what we expected. We thought the bill should approximate $100 but it was almost $200! The waitress won't give us an itemized bill so we ask for the manager. Well, the manager proceeds to yell at us, calling us "rude white peoples (sic)!" We have no idea how the bill cam eto what they demanded butg we paid and left. We will NEVER return to this awful place.…
