What People Are Saying About Frankie's Pizza & Pasta

In Short – Inside this diner-like pizzeria near Redmond Town Center, teenagers, families and couples convene over shared pies and other Italian favorites. The food is by-the-book Italian-American: the usual players are all represented, like spaghetti and meatballs, fettuccini Alfredo and lasagna, with a handful of seasonally-rotating dishes thrown in the mix. The menu also offers calzones, sandwiches, and the pizza that Microsoft power players order for meetings and locals swear by.

Refreshingly delicious

I love this place. They have the best pizza, and when we get the warm breadsticks (with marinara and a bit of the cream sauce to mix together) to dip in.....ahhhh, slice of Italian heaven. One of my favorite pizzas is the Passion Pizza of Verona - pine nuts on pizza - wasn't sure, but was delicous. Love to go hear on special occasions. And, if you get the chance to meet Frankie - his is one of the most genuine guys in the world, and it is nice to see ownership that cares about their employees and communities! Thanks Frankies for being a great slice of our community!
neighborhood pizza & pasta joint with nothing special

Our friend took us here after our Cirque Du Soleil show at Marymoor. She is has been here many times and said the food here was good and she comes back for the bread sticks. Our experience did not meet expectations. They were pretty busy and we had to wait around 20 minutes since they don't take reservations unless your party is larger than 6. The staff was friend and attentive. We had the option to be seated inside or on the patio. We chose the patio since it was a nice day out and it was loud inside due to the abundance of kids. One waitress took our drink orders and another did the food. Everything we timely and came out hot. The quality of the food was not so great. They started us off with complimentary bread sticks that were a little overdone since the end pieces were a little hard. The calzone Veneto was pretty big but mostly dough. The filling was not even as the veggies were near the crust and the mean and cheese were in the center. I was never able to get a bite of everything. My wife had the cannelloni and the pasta was tough and the filling was made of a ricotta and chicken (dark meat) chunks. Almost like cheesy meatballs. The prices were average to pricey. The calzone was $12 and the cannelloni was $12.50. However, we did stay and chat for almost 3 hours and since they weren't busy any more, they left us alone outside. Very much a neighborhood pasta joint with nothing special. I personally will be looking for other places to eat next time.
Busy Place

Went there for pizza. Although the pizza is pretty good the wait, price, and service was really not the best. Also not a lot of parking. Went there on a Thursday night. Weekends must be crazy!
- Pros: Good Pizza
- Cons: Not a lot of seating, busy, slower service, and pricey
If you order spaghetti...

I often measure a restaurant's quality by the care they put into the simplest dishes. An Italian restaurant should be able to produce great spaghetti. At Frankie's my spaghetti was served undrained, creating about a one-fourth cup pool of water on the plate and of course, greatly diluting the sauce. yuuk. Our server wasn't attentive and didn't check back. I managed to drain the water to one side by propping up the other side of the plate on my knife handle. Still, not good. When the server presented the check (!) she noticed the water and said they must have gotten in a hurry in the kitchen. She offered dessert when she should have removed the dinner charge. It didn't leave us with a very good feeling about dining there again.
- Pros: Decent inexpensive wine
- Cons: see review
Best Pizza in Maple Valley, Covington, Kent Area

I'm a big fan of pizza and I've eaten just about every pizza joint in King County. By far, Frankie's Pizza tops my list along with Pagliacci Pizza. They do sell pizza by the slice from 11-2 but the variety is just not there and tends to get old from sitting there to long. I like pizza that is hot and fresh. Overall, I give a high rating to their pizza's..because it's really really good. I'd would eat there more often if the prices weren't so high, compared to other local pizza joints, that's the only con.
- Pros: AWESOME PIZZA
- Cons: I wish there was more coupons
