Not thrilled with CS-- think very carefully!. I'm all for the indy music store and wary of Target selling instruments. And have chosen to go with small businesses to enjoy the customer service, friendliness, and attention lost with the big box stores. But the times I've dealt with Mills have been off-putting. I found the guy I dealt with there very discouraging to me when I told him the instrument we had chosen for my son, to almost unfriendly. Won't use them ever again. Service with a smile??

Flute Repair. I've been taking flute lessons at this store for years and recently had my flute overhauled by the repair person there. It took a little while before I got it back, but it never has played better! The staff was pretty nice, and helped me pick out a new case too. I would definitely recommend talking with the repair guy here because he was very helpful and seemed like a straight-shooter.

Avoid Mills Music if you need a repair/cleaning of a trumpet. Took our son's trumpet in because it needed a cleaning badly. Redmond store told us they would have their person look at it and call us. Without calling us, he shipped it to Issaquah store (took 2 days to get there). When it arrived, they gave us an estimate of $220! Claimed the cleaning was a chemclean plus a little more. We requested that they return it to the Redmond store where they charged us $15 for the "estimate". We then took it to Kennelly Keys who gave us fantastic service for $75 (chem clean) + $37.50 extra and they did it that day because our son had been without his trumpet for over one week. We will never set foot in a Mills Music store again. The estimate seemed almost fraudulent. We had tried to buy our son's new trumpet at Mills back two years ago and they were over-priced in Redmond so we went elsewhere. This store has nothing to offer anyone and parking is horrible. The guy at the store who made me pay the $15 at the end for the estimate was rude.

What an improvement !! Thank You. What a surprise I've found near the Redmond Town Center. I used to take clarinet in the this "dentist office atmosphere" of a music store. My son just got his first electric guitar there recently and I was simply amazed at the beautiful transformation. First class instruments, super service and a renovated store was a pleasant surprise. I love the staff.
