I don't normally review businesses or
products, but for a $4,000 purchase, I feel the need to warn others. Don't make the same mistake I did- they have a bad reputation for a reason, and his name is CHRIS. GO ELSEWHERE!!
What a waste of time and money, two things of which I have very little. CHRIS DESERVES TO BE FIRED FOR THE INCOMPETENT EMPLOYEE THAT HE IS. Terrible customer service skills, complete apathy towards his job, dishonesty, and overall lack of any particular skill. Without this bad egg/weak link virus of an employee, Aamco of Renton might be an honest, profitable, friendly and competent establishment. Man, do I wish I rolled the dice on the warranty and went to Greg's. Oh, and by the way, the transmission still jumps. Good grief.
treated very bad by employees. i made an appointment to have my vehicle looked at on Sat. morninrg from 9-11 When I brought it Steve said oh no you were to leave it here until Monday?? He said he never told me from 9-11??? Why would I want to leave my truck from Sat to Monday when i need it for work?? Both employees were rude. Will never go back.. They lost out on two cars getting repaired.
Aamco saves you money. I'm going to school full time here in Seattle and when my transmission started slipping I started to panic. I don't have time or energy to devote to getting my car fixed, especially a big repair like my transmission. My dad told me to call AAMCO and when I did they made what seemed like a HUGE problem practically disappear. They came to my house in Greenlake, trailered my car to the shop in Renton, offered to arrange a cheap rental (that I didn't need so I didn't,) and then fixed my car. They even offered to deliver it back to me but I got a ride to the shop. The manager was really friendly and helpful. They made what could have been a really stressful experience really easy. Thanks for everything guys.
New Owner. I am the new owner of the Renton AAMCO center. I have lived in Seattle since 2001 and am thrilled to now be part of the Renton business community and to offer residents a choice when it comes to transmission and drivetrain auto repair services plus tuneups, brakes, air conditioning, and even oil changes. You may see some bad reviews or posts from the previous owner of the shop, but I want to assure you that once you visit my shop now, you will keep coming back for all your car care needs. If you have any concerns or questions do not hesitate to ask for me at the store and I would be happy to speak with you.
Professional service and repair. When I broke down visiting family for Christmas I went to Aamco in Renton, they were professional and know their transmissions. I am back home in the midwest my car drove fine and I feel confident with my nationwide warranty.
EXCELLENT CUSTOMER SERVICE. This shop just fixed my car the estimate was accurate and the repair is great. Thanks
