terrible customer service. the technician is a liar. he promised rebate and term of contract and when I call to this branch in bothell, I can't never get a hold of him, nor the manager. the secretary would always say to hold the phone while she transfers, but in fact she'd just transfer you to a national customer service line.

Do not use ADT Service. I'd like to add some more information to ADT Security Service. Please be wary in entering into a contract with this company. There are plenty of providers out there that do not need a contractual obligation. They lock you into a 3 year deal which is not so bad as long as the service works with your configuration. If you break the service they are unwilling to negotiate or discuss any terms to ease the pain and it is 75% of the remaining contract plus a 30 day notice so becareful when you sign a contract with these guys. Customer Service is horrible and they are not interested in helping there customers. There service will not work with VOIP phone system so if your considering using them with this service do not even attempt it. My personal opinion is that you should look at other options that are way more customer friendly and can use technology that was made in the 21st century like VOIP or the internet.

Bottom Line do not use ADT Home or Business Security Service.

Good service, lots of nickel and diming. The service is great and there are a lot of these so it is hard to tell if I am reviewing the right one. Teh service si good, so many features, very well organized but a few pet peeves:

1) They give you a five hour window, that is a lot of time to be home from work!

2) They fail to mention your home may not be able to be wired and then sell you a wireless system for $100 more

3) They also fail to mention that DSL users need a special filter and yup it's $40

4) They plugged me into an old outlet that THEY chose. Alarm died after 3 days and the guy said I needed to have my outlet rewired. Wonder how much that will cost.

Annoying nickel and diming. That part has me unhappy. Service seems good overall but they should really be upfront about these things. I am about $200+ over my original budget for this and only a week into it
