Great store bad rewards.. The store is large and clean. The staff is great. The selection is pretty good. The prices are fair over all. My complaints are about the rewards. They are always finding ways to cheat us customers out of our rewards. Even the Gas Rewards. Fred meyer you need to make the rewards easy and fair. Don't take away what we have earned. I will shop some where else when ever I can because of the way the corprate office cheats us customers out of our hard earned rewards.
Rude Sales Clerk!. I was in Renton, WA (in Talbot Road) Fred Meyer this morning. There was this highly rude older (maybe in her 40s) Mexican/Hispanic lady manning the fast/easy checkout. I had a coupon with me and when I had to present it to her, she snatched it out of my hand! Then I had also scanned to buy a pair of shorts. I shop at Fred Meyer all the time and I know the drill...that when I come through the magnetic scanner that I am supposed to hand the clothing for the salesperson to check the magnetic tag, blah blah blah. She comes over my station just mumbling a stupid complaint to herself, grabbed the shorts, comes back to return to me and, oh that's right, still mumbling to herself! The when she went back out, she starts yelling something out loud, out to nobody! I gave her the eye because she was being highly UNPROFESSIONAL!
Best One Stop Shopping.
I can't even believe the bad reviews are about the same store, I had to double check the address!
I love the sales on clothing, I have gotten some great deals.
Food prices are fair.
The staff are very friendly and I never have to wait in a long line. They open a checkout stand if more than 3 are in line.
I appreciate that they supply wet and dry wipes so I can make sure my cart is as germ free as possible, that's important to me.
I am a top 10 customer there, we have 8 people in this family (4 shopping adults) so the manager lets me have my choice of a free turkey for the holidays :)
Oh and the rewards card! I get free money too!
I do all my shopping here. We have been shopping here for many years now. Although it is not the closest store, it does seem to offer many more brands with many name brands on sale. We spend a lot on groceries each month and get good dollar amounts on our rewards cards. I have never had any trouble with product returns even if I have no receipt.
People need to be cautious, but it is an awesome place to shop.
Any place can be dangerous, especially in parking lots. It is you who need to be aware of your surroundings and take a little bit of self defense classes. Carry pepper spray in your keychain or a small stun baton. Make sure your car has an alarm so no one can get in. Simple things can save your life. If you think moving to Seattle or a suburb like Bellevue is safe, you are fooling yourself. Look at the Bellevue crime map online and you will see the crime rate there. Crime can happen anywhere. It is left to you whether you want to be a victim.
This Fred Myer has awesome prices and everything is fresh here. It is the official Levi's store and the discounts are way better than Macy's or any of the mall stores. I have been here in Renton for the past 2 years and I have shopped every other day at Fred Myers. It is an amazing place to save money and there is a security guard who works there who has a PhD in Anthropology. Can you beleive that? He is also a Vietnam vet.
Bad Karma. I have been to this store three times, and each time I have been harassed in the parking lot by suspicious people with cat calls, requests for money, and once blocked between my car and a large truck by a guy with a stick. This was in the middle of the day, for all three instances, and plenty of light and people around. It's in a bad part of town, the Walmart and Safeway down there are also in the bad neighborhood and have problems. If you live around there, go farther away for your groceries, I won't ever go back.
Editorial Review by Citysearch Editors. Department store with indoor and outdoor household items including furniture, appliances, sporting goods, gardening tools, plus pharmacy, photo processing, gifts.
Stay away. This is one of the worst Fred Meyers I have shopped at. The people that work there are right out of the Twilight Zone. It must be a BAD area of Renton given the amount of police cars that are always in that part of town. What gives???
