Stay away! Rude Staff, Doctor enables!

My wife and I just had a baby and were assigned a pediatrician at this clinic. Naturally she called and told them our insurance, and the medical assistant stated that they accepted it. She drove out there for the appointment to find out that they don't accept it.
Rather than apologize, they made up a bunch of excuses and told her that the insurance we had didn't make business sense to accept, and kept preaching how wonderful they are instead of listening to her. What did the doctor do when he heard this complaint? He defended his staffs mistake and didn't offer any sort of apology for the inconvenience.
There is obviously a lack of education on customer service, interpersonal communications, and how to show respect for prospective clients.
I personally will drive the extra distance to receive better care for my children when we have different insurance. Until there are some serious changes in their customer service approach, I will never consider recommending or taking my family to this clinic.
