The winery is the descendent of Associated Vintners (AV), a group of amateur winemakers that bonded a winery in 1962. After many moves, the winery settled in its current grand Victorian manor in Woodinville in 1989. Columbia's offering of wines is extensive, including nearly all Washington-grown varieties in several styles. Its vineyard-designated cabernet, chardonnay and other varietals have won rave reviews and many awards at festivals and fairs.

Columbia Winery has a beautiful facility. The staff was very knowledgable and friendly. The wines were very high quality and very reasonably priced.
