This is simply the best place in Seattle!!!! You could not ask for a better find on a steep climb. The treasure is worth going threw the twists and turns that Seattle has to offer. Fresh ingredients beautiful atmosphere nice and cozy. As far as people having a hard time finding the place i found it right away. Across the street from the Aquarium. Cross at the big crosswalk in front of the Aquarium. Walk to the stairs. DRAG YOUR BUTT UP THEM. Close to the top of the stairs not all the way up. Its simple! The owner there has been making gelato in the same spot for almost 29 years now!!!! He knows his stuff. He only cares for the best quality fresh fruits and nuts. I was there when they were making the espresso gelato. I watched them pull shot after shot of espresso very very fun to watch. I tried to get them to tell me how to make it so perfectly as they do. But they said that they have never given out one of there 450+ recipes. Just 12 flavors on hand and all very good ones but keep going they have more flavors in ROTATION than anyone els. I strongly suggest going here because it is more than worth the adventure.
- Pros: good music, fun people, wonderful enviorment, cant say enughf about it!!!
- Cons: not open that late right now but that will change in the summer. Im told.
The Best!

We have been to Italy four times and our family feels Procopio has the best gelato in Seattle. Others may think the fluffy, highly decorated gelato is how it should look, but that type is chalky and made from a chemical mix not made with fresh, quality ingredients such as Procopio uses. Procopio gelato was being sold at Whole Foods, but they are now making their own. WF was closer for us than driving to Seattle, but their own product is not worth the calories... Back to Seattle we will go!
- Pros: Perfect Flavor, Fresh Ingredients
- Cons: In Seattle
Small selection, but high quality

I got rice with cinnamon and lychee on a waffle cone for just under $5. My husband got lemon and grapefruit. We were very happy about all the four flavors. The flavors were really close to what the actual fruits taste like. We were surprised how good they are! They are so refreshing without being rich & heavy like regular ice cream. I will definitely go back (don't forget cash)!
- Pros: small selection
- Cons: high quality! yummy!
