Completely Happy With The Service.
I called A A travel and spoke with Yuki. She helped me book my ticket to go to the Philippines and then also made special arrangements for me to stay in Tokyo for a week on the way back. I went in signed my paperwork and everything went exactly as planned. My trip went off without a hitch. I now am using them to book all of my trips since they get a better deal than searching online. So far booking through Yuki I have gone to Japan, Philippines and multiple domestic trips like Denver, Houston, Salt Lake and back to Denver in a few weeks. Don't let the bad reviews make up your mind. Give Yuki a call.

worst experience ever. i've booked my ticket from seattle to korea then to China, which include one night stay in korea airport. I've asked my travel consultant, David, several times, about the accomodation at korea airport. He said it's all ok and will be taken care of by the airline. When i got to korea airport, there's no record from my agent of me booking a room. so i have to pay another $100 for accomodations. Then i called David and was told it was MY responsibility to contact the airline to book hotel before the trip, which seemed very odd as he's the one contacting the airline! Then i said even if that's true, why didn't you tell me? Instead, you said it's ALL DONE. Then he completely denied and said he told me, which is a TOTAL LIE!
This agency is horrible. This agency is horrible. Last time we have signed the authorization of payment for air ticket but later they said they could not get the ticket at this price. The woman named Lin is a very rude person. She made all kinds of excuse (the consultant is a new inexperienced guy, she know the top manager of the airline personally very well) and blamed me for not taking the ticket at increased price. Not allowing me to say anything, she hung up the phone emotionally. I would say this woman is totally a jerX.
Great prices if you take the initiative.
We have been using AA Travel since 2006 to fly to and from Thailand. They know the best fairs and will hook you up with them. For example, they can tell you to wait 5 days before purchasing a ticket because the fair will go down.
However, we have never been successful booking over the phone. You simply have to go down to the I-district and spend some face time getting what you want. Don't walk out of there until you are sure you have in your hand what you need. They won't call you "in a few days", they won't email you, they won't follow up on what you talked about. You have to ensure for yourself that everything is taken care of.
For example, when flying to Thailand last year, we had a 20 hour connection in Seoul. Ken got us a hotel room and free passes to go into Seoul for the day. We incorrectly assumed that this would be done for the returning flight as well as he said he would take care of it. He didn't. We had nothing. But... if we had called a few days before departure to confirm, he would have hooked us up with the works.
Basically, you need to know what you want and then make sure you get it. If you do, you will be rewarded with fairs 20-30% cheaper than you can find online.
You make the call.
I will keep using them.
bad customer service. Not a good experience with AA. Will try to find other travel agency of similar price for better services.
Don't expect to get what you pay for. My family used AA travel agency for our trip to Thailand a few years ago. All four of us paid for Deluxe class seats on the Eva Air flight from Seattle to Bangkok, but the agency failed to tell us that the flight from Taipei to Bangkok would be Economy seats. So basically we paid for Deluxe seats but only got Deluxe class part of the way. Then on the flight back home, checking in, we were notified that we would have to pay an additional $50/seat for the Deluxe class. Apparently SOMEONE forgot to book us Deluxe on the flight back. Needless to say, we don't go through this agency anymore.
bad customer service. The sales agent was really nice to me before I purchased the flight ticket, however, after I made the purchases from her, no more service. Now, my flight got cancelled, I need her to help to reschedule my ticket. I contacted her more than 5 times, and until now, the problem is still not solved. Every time I talked to her, she said she would call me back, but she never called me back... I will NEVER order tickets from this office ever again!
BEWARE. I wrote a review previously but somehow AA Travel was able to get it removed. I am a busy person and am annoyed i need to rewrite this message, but feel that my experience will be highly valuable for anyone considering this company. This place is awful. My husband was traveling for work and we bought our ticket from them months in advance. We received an email itinerary confirmation, processed his visa through them, provided them w/ active credit card number to charge. There was no indication whatsoever that we were not confirmed on that flight. When he arrived at the airport on the day of, he was told that he had no ticket and he was not confirmed on the flight. W/ any international travel, there were long lines of angry people behind him, and annoyed agents at the counter that were frustrated. He had to call AA Travel immediately, and purchase the ticket AGAIN. Turns out they forgot to inform us that we needed to fill out a separate credit card authorization form in order for them to charge our account. They had two telephone numbers and an email address on file for us. It is inexcusable that they didn't bother trying to contact us. We ended up having to pay for a higher price for the ticket, along w/ additional charges incurred b/c of our last min ticket purchase. He was close to missing a flight which was a big deal, considering this was a business related travel. We have not bothered w/ asking for a refund for the difference b/c we simply do not wish to ever deal w/ this company again. They are irresponsible, unethical, and unprofessional. When they realized the major oversight..Ken in the office...had the audacity to laugh at the situation on the other end of the line. I don't understand where the humor was coming from.
Bad customer service. I bought a ticket in March. I gave all my credit card information for them to charge my account. I got a call next week telling me that the price has changed and they have to charge my account at a higher price. Of course this is not acceptable. They did not tell me the price will change when I provided the credit card information at the time. They are supposed to charge me on that day and not until the day the price went up. After several phone calls and complaints. They agreed to charge me the original price. I checked my credit card statement later and found out that they charged me the new higher price. I called them and they agreed to refund the different. They agreed to charge you on the original price but actually charged you the higher price and you won't find it until you checked your statement. They said they will process the refund 3 weeks later (in April) due to busy season. I accepted that as I have no control if they can't process the refund right a way. It has been 3 months since they agreed to refund. But the refund has not been received. I have already called and emails many times. No response from the agent through emails. They said they will send the refund soon. It's wasting my time and my money. After more than a week, I still haven't received the check. I'm sure the check has not been sent. I don't think the post office will mess up your mail more than 3 times in 3 months. When I called and talked to Ken, he even hang up the phone. I would not recommend to buy at this place. This is a very unprofessional place with bad customer service and dishonest staffs.
Buyer Beware.
This place is awful. I will never buy here again.
My husband & I travel frequently to Asia for business purposes and have purchased here previously. The last time we bought from here they suddenly changed their policy of not confirming your ticket unless you sign a credit card form in person. They sent us our itinerary via email, they had our cc number, everything on our end appeared good to go. We did not have any clue that our ticket was not legit until we were at the ticket counter on the day of, 30 mins prior to intl departure. We were charged additional fees (couple hundred) for purchasing the ticket on the spot. This is not even to mention the long lines at the aiport, having to deal with disgruntled and frustrated airline employees at the counter. Everyone was looking at us as if we were idiots taking up time.
Prior, we had booked our ticket at least a month in advance. We paid this agency to apply for our visa, and waited for that to come down. Not once did we get a call or email from this agency informing us that their policy had changed and that we needed to go into their office to sign a cc release form. We were extremely close to missing our flight and when you're traveling for business, this is simply unacceptable. In the mist of the chaos I called to give them whatever information they needed and the gentleman I spoke to on the phone did apologize but kept laughing at the situation. I didn't quite get the joke. He also made a note to remind me to make sure that in the future, unless if I have a "confirmed" itinerary in my inbox, I am not confirmed. My response was that itinerary they gave me certainly looked like an actual itinerary, how else was I supposed to know it wasn't a "confirmed" itinerary.
When we got back I didn't even bother trying to nickle and dime w/ them on refunding us the additional fees we were charged with at the airport. This is how mad I still am.
